I bought this DVD set in hopes that it would be fun and would therefore motivate me to workout more. I sit at a desk in front of a computer 5 days a week and it's been about 2 years since I've exercised on a regular basis. I was pretty out of shape when I started these DVDs. I'm happy to say that these DVDs did exactly what I was hoping for. I don't have to talk myself into working out anymore. I actually want to workout when I get home from work. These workouts are a LOT of fun! The steps are easy to learn and I'm lacking in the coordination department. It takes me a few tries to do anything that involves coordinating arm and feet movements but I didn't have too much trouble with the moves in these DVDs. Another thing I like about these DVDs is that Autumn didn't spend a lot of time yapping. She leads the class through the routines with minimal talking. I quickly lose interest if the instructor spends the whole time speaking encouraging words. I'd rather just hear the instruction and get on with it. I usually wish I had the ability to turn the speech off without turning the music off with most exercise DVDs but that's not an issue with these. I really can't think of anything I don't like about these DVDs.
I've been out of line dancing for a while, and there aren't any good country clubs in my area. I am already using the 21 day fix workouts from autumn and am having good results; I was very skeptical that a 'non-country' trainer could give this country girl a good workout. Granted, it's not even close to actual line dancing, but the music and moves bring me back to why I loved line dancing in the first place. Some of the combinations are tricky, especially with the faster tempo. Be patient with yourself (I'm still working on that) and the skill will come.
Some of the dancers and outfits are a little cheesy, like city folks trying to be country just to impress. If you can overlook that, the workouts really do feel good and work like they're supposed to, if your consistent. I think I got a good price for just the dvd's & meal plan guide, without the hassle of dealing with Beachbody customer service. These are a good addition to my library.
I have been doing the 310 Nutrition program & walking for about a month. I wanted an aerobic workout that was fun & could incorporate into my daily routine. I saw Country Heat, read the reviews and looked up some workouts on YouTube so, I decided to purchase it! I'm so glad I did! I look forward to coming home from work and doing my "country dance workout". I'm 55 years old & will be 56 September 5th. Before you begin a routine, you watch and follow the breakdown... it gets more challening with each workout, which I love.. I have two herniated disks in my back however, this is so much fun and easy, it doesn't feel like a workout and it does NOT hurt my back!
If you want to sweat, have fun, lose weight & look forward to working out, Country Heat is for you!! I have FINALLY found a new life change of eating (310 Nutrition) and a workout program that I love!! I have lost 11.8 pounds in less than a month!! This was the best 43.00 I have ever spent!!
The dances are simple and my friend and I both agreed that we didn't really need to have done the tutorial and could have just picked up the dances in the actual version. She still explains everything first.
Autumn is the cutest little instructor ever! She is easy to follow and unpretentious, I just love her and these workouts. You will sweat while having fun and the dance moves are easy to follow. I wasnt sure I would like Country Heat or if it was going to be too hee haw but its awesome and you get a great workout. The times flies by too and most of the workouts are 30 minutes. I usually do a 20 day fix dvd first then finish with a Country Heat dvd, perfect! Thanks Autumn! My only complaint is alot of the moves are hard to do on carpeting. So I modify.. wonky feet is impossible on carpet, just be careful.
im very disappointed in this workout as you must spend time learns the moves for 30 mins before getting into the workout which by then i lost interest i found it very boring reminds me of Zumba which i hated. . i have only played it twice . why so many moves?? very hard and boring to follow ..
