I play mostly rock, country rock, and fingerstyle acoustic but country guitar skills were lacking. I now have an excellent resource to improve.
This book is pretty deep yet is easy to follow. Make sure you get the audio files as the written music and tabs are missing the tempo tags. Also the files help impart a sense of the style that written music can't quite transmit.
Now I gotta' track down Mr. Bonhomme and study under him and reopen the Palomino Club, sell out shows at the Hollywood Bowl, go back to analog tape, rebuild the modernist institutions of real intellectual and cultural ferment (abandoning toxic post-modernism) and make sure we level-up as humanity. . . .
