I like everything about these lids. I bought them to use on quart canning jars for liquids and dry goods such as popcorn and coffee beans. I previously bought the lids with handles to use on 1/2 gallon canning jars, and I have been so happy with them, I bought these for the smaller jars that do not need a lid with a handle and take up less room in storage. In my estimation, these are the best canning jar pouring lids on the market! Even the silicone gaskets in the lid are replaceable and make the jars truly water tight.

I was rather hesitant at first to buy these given the price. But I'm glad I did. They are NOT made of cheap plastic, its VERY durable hard plastic that would be INCREDIBLY difficult to break. The spout cover stays attached to the lid and pops up, it snaps shut too. I bought these for some paint jars I have. I had large cans of paint that I trasferred to mason jars only not realizing how difficult pouring the paint from the jar would be. Then I found these pour caps. They are incredibly well made and secure on the jars VERY tightly. There is a rubber ring inside too in order to maintain a good seal. I also like that I can very easily clean the cap spout between uses.

I HIGHLY recommend these. Exceptional product with a wide variety of uses.

We use mason jars to make formula in bulk for the day. These caps are required because when you pour from mason jars into a bottle, there is always quite a bit of spillage. It makes a watertight seal with the jar. The lid or pop-cap (the blue/red part) has a “Soft” close and a “hard” close (i.e., 2 clicks). The first soft close is not tight enough and it WILL leak. You have to make sure the pop-cap is pushed all the way to the “hard” close to keep it from opening all over your kitchen when you shake to mix formula.

One problem, milk/liquid can pool at the joint of the pop-cap. When cleaning, the blue/red part needs to be separated (easy to do) otherwise it doesn’t get clean.

They are amazing unless you screw them way too tight.. where it's just like a bottle of pickles I just need a towel to twist with. I pair these with the mason jar cozies and we use these instead of water bottles (that will just mold eventually). They don't leak. Very easy to clean. If you have a backpack you like to use or use them in the car.. pay attention to size whether you need a wide mouth or regular.

I've had these for almost 10 months and am overall very pleased with them. They do seal tightly and consequently are a bit difficult to remove. I'm 65, though, and not particularly strong, but can still get them off. They don't leak around the top of the jar, but one of the three does leak a bit at the hinge where the small red cap opens. It's not a huge problem, so I did not contact the company. Perhaps they would have replaced it if I had. And it isn't a problem if you don't shake the jar. We shake our raw milk and some coats the underside of the lid. That's what leaks out the hinge. If you don't shake, you don't get liquid on the underside, so no leaking.

I also have some silicon jar seals that let me transport liquids for work lunches without spilling, but I inevitably get a few drips along the edges when I take it off, and surface tension makes liquids want to run down the side of the jar while pouring. I make vinaigrette much stronger than normal because it's healthier (less oil) and I just like it that way -- however, it means that even a few drips from the lid will have a noticeable smell for days.

The small spout on these lids solves those problems. You just flip open the spout, so you avoid the drips along the lid edge. And the tighter curve on the opening is a lot less prone to liquids running down the outside.

They can sometimes be difficult to remove. The only con is that they are expensive but they work as advertised.
