But I've watched a couple. If you like Intervention, you'll like this show. I'd describe this show as a much moodier Intervention, a little more fast paced but still set at the heart of the hope and despair of addiction. I love the coaches in the show as well, they're all passionate and likeable. You really find yourself rooting for the people featured by the end of the show, thus why I say a moodier (perhaps even more emotional?) Intervention. I love this show so far- perhaps even more than Intervention.

Great series for those struggling with addiction to any substance, from alcohol to hard drugs. I hand-picked the episodes I felt most relevant, rather than buying the whole season. I was an alcoholic years ago, and sometimes seeing other go through the repercussions of relapsing is enough to remind you that you dont want to head down that road again...

I purchased one episode to see what I thought. I won't be purchasing any more. The best way I can describe this is that a "sober coach" comes and tells the person who has a long history of addiction that they need help. Results may vary. Maybe it was the episode I watched, but there actually seemed to be a complacency about everyone involved. Even with its imperfections, the A&E Show Intervention has more bite, more of a feeling that those coming to help are empowered and ready. On this show it seemed to boil down more to "what to change?, want help?". I could actually understand why the people with the addiction issue seems unclear on what the process was that was supposed to be happening because I was too.

Like a book you can't put down. This very real show is well done and the people doing the intervention have been addicts as well. They are on a wonderful mission to help others and understand the addicts so well as they have walked the walk. I'm not big on reality shows, but this one shows human compassion the human nature so well.

Some episodes were better than others. Overall, this show is largely forgettable with one outstanding exception: Seth the Sober Coach. I saw him for the first time on the regular "Intervention" series and was blown away by his ability to extract the truth from people and get right to the core of the issue at hand. I also love how he takes abusive parents to task. He is inspiring and needs his own show. Other than Seth, I wasn't a huge fant of this show.

These shows aren't really so much about people who had problems with relapse, or even the signs and symptoms of relapse (which I was looking for), but instead, they are more about people who struggle with really wanting to become sober, who repeatedly go through treatment and fail. Not very encouraging, but good barometer of the difficulty of going through treatment and succeeding.

It was interesting, but didn't really seem like it needed to be a show. I was rooting for the people, it just didn't seem to suck you in.
