I bought this to upgrade from from an el cheapo $10 folding visor whose plastic coating had started to flake all over my dashboard and car. Thankfully, this one doesn't feel like it has a coating that will wear off and cause a similar issue. Cool to the touch when you take it down.
Very effective coverage, and just the right amount of space tolerance (gaps) to make setup and takedown a breeze. Of course, given the small dimensions of the car's interior, folding is a bit of a hassle (especially if someone is in the passenger seat), but I don't think there'd be a good way to address that without some kind of undesirable compromise to the rigidity of the cover. Despite its solid construction, it is surprisingly lightweight.
As the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S (and Toyota 86/GT-86) are effectively the same car, the cover does work for all those models. The cover does not sit directly flush against the windshield, so you will be able to leave up suction cup mounts for radar detectors and toll passes without issue. Probably won't be room for cellphone holders, though.
