Top customer reviews
It does SEEM sorta flimsy though & you have to be extremely careful not to latch the right side with the top latch clasp dangling in the cleavage. I love using it, but I really suspect that leaks will happen at some point, so maybe have a backup.
I also advise packing folded up colored, absorbent tissue in the gaps all around the edges & keeping an eye on them to see if they begin to darken in color (indicating H2O penetration).
Maybe get the 16mm lens model instead: I wish I had. Unfortunately though the 16mm won't work with this case--the case shows up in frame. Proper lighting (esp. red wavelength) is tough to achieve with the 18-55 zoomed in very much (small aperture), and the 16mm lens is a better lens than the 18-55 when zoomed out (both wider aperture & crisper).
You won't want to use the flash attachment--it will light up all the floating particles between the camera & subject (looking like a snow globe), so best bring along an external strobe or underwater torch.
