The Craftsman 19.2 Volt Radio is fun, cute, and extremely portable. The sound quality is fair to good but not excellent. I actually expected alittle more from Craftsman as their tools are the Cadillac of the industry. The radio lacks "bass" but does put out a decent sound. Nothing beats the portability of this unit - the little guy carries well anywhere. The radio is powered only by the 19.2 volt recharage battery (not included) which will last about 1 week with moderate play time - also, be aware that the little cutie does not accept an AC power source. I'm hoping that Craftman will build a new improved version with 2 speakers in the near future.

PROS:
*Portable
*Light-weight
*Good battery life
*Decent Sound Quality
*Plays FM/AM/Weather/iPod/MP3 players
*Price

CONS:
*Sound quality
*No Preset buttons
*Volume could be louder for outdoor use.
*When battery gets low, stations come in with static.
*No place for an attachable iPhone when playing MP3's (there is space for a small iPod).
*No place to store the included 3.5mm jack cord when not in use.
*Only 1 speaker, no stereo sound.
*Once your battery dies, so does your radio (can't plug it in).

Craftsman 19.2 Volt Radio Am/fmaux,"weather Radio"
More reception range for a low priced radio if you already use 19.2 Volt c3 tools. It delivers low static, clear reception for a few of my favorite stations where other portables do not. Positioning for optimum signal still required but a good deal if already use C3's.

I have had this radio for 8 years. It is a great radio EXCEPT for the antenna. Mine broke off with a light push in the wrong direction. It is very delicate. I would have given it five stars if it had a rubber antenna. The sound is very good for a single speaker. The only other thing I'd like would be a USB port for charging a phone/player. I still use the radio frequently but primarily with the AUX port since FM radio reception is limited. It is also nice that the AUX cable is not attached. This allows you to use your own cable.

I keep hoping that Sears makes an updated of this unit with a rubber antenna! I'd buy it in an instant.

This AM/FM/Weather radio can be part of your Home Emergency Power System. It runs on the Craftsman C3 battery, which also powers Emergency LED Flashlights, Emergency Lights and Emergency LED Flashlights. The radio will run for a full day on one Lithium-Ion C3 Battery. Mono, not Stereo, but features an AUX input and 12" cord and clip for iPods.

This would be nice if it featured a USB Cell Phone Charger Port.

The radio sounds ok for a single speaker system. Battery life is ok as well but the reception is terrible and is most likely due to the pathetic antenna. Thanks to an extended warranty, I have had several of these radios replaced because of the extremely cheap antenna breaking off. Sears does not sell a replacement part either. A Sears representative has informed me that there are no intentions to improve the radio with a flexible one.

I love this thing. pretty loud I can blast my music thru out the shop. isn't the best quality in sound but good enough. durable, has survived many falls except for the antenna which broke off. so now I only use it connected aux to my iPhone.
