The Peachtree insert fits the saw fairly well, but other than that I didn't like mine at all.

It isn't flat; it bellies down in the middle. As a result, the ends stick up and that creates issues when the stock hits the edge. I talked to Peachtree about it, and they just told me to bend it back until it is flat. Well, that sorta works... but after about 5 minutes the thing goes back to the original warped shape. The way they answered the question makes me think that lots of folks call about warped inserts.

Also, there is a little bit of slop, both sideways as well as fore/aft.

I replaced mine with a Leecraft CR-2. That one is made of phenolic so it is dead flat and stiff, and it fits much better.

I am having to make significant modifications to this insert for it to fit my Craftsman Contractors saw. I would suggest that you provide Peachtree with a model number and let them verify that it will fit.

This turned out to be the wrong insert for our older craftsman saw - the length and width were right - but it was too thick. Peachtree responded that they have a thinner insert and provided their product number. They called to arrange the replacement shipment as soon as they received the return.

The zero clearance insert fits the 10 inch Craftsman contractors saw that I acquired circa 1984. The adjustments allow it to be installed flush with the table. It is much thicker than the original insert, which meant it did not allow the 10 inch blade to be lowered far enough to be completely under the new insert. I had to use a smaller diameter blade to start the groove in the new insert and then use a 10 inch blade to complete the groove. Once completed, it performs well. I'm satisfied.
