I'd have to start out saying the packaging this came in was terrible. Both strips of packaging tape were not stuck to the package which allowed 2 nuts to come out of the box and were missing upon arrival. No biggie for me but some people might be very annoyed by that.
The wringer is not chrome like in the picture, it is a dull grey but appears to have a durable finish. I would recommend replacing all the nuts with locking nuts, I don't remember the size but its easy to go down to the store and figure it out. I was unable to use this on a bucket or the side of a brute storage bin. I thought I would make a mount for it on my deck railing but later decided not to. I ended up making a wash stand for it. We used to use buckets and the breathing washer but with having the wringer I decided to go full bore.
After using this wringer a few times, it is certainly sturdy, it squeaks when pushing through jeans, pants etc but it doesn't bother us.
I would recommend this for someone that has a mount for it or will make a mount.

I'm pretty dissapointed in this wringer. First off, it's not cheap, so I expected higher quality. It's heavy, but that doesn't mean it's all good. The mounts are not an efficient design, in my opinion and between trying to get them tight on a drum or other lip and the whole thing falling over, I had a good amount of frustration with this thing!

My solution was to weld a heavy steel frame that fits inside a rubbermaid tub. The wringer mounts directly to the frame, not the tub. The tub simply contains the wrung water.

The wringer part appears to be well-built and should last years. I noticed it's easy to get the rollers dirty, i wasn't sure

This is a very nicely made product. It does need a base to clamp it on, and I have made one out of redwood that lets me put it on the side of my bathtub and lets me take it off easily with the base attached and without touching the clamps. One has to tighten all screws on it during the assembly as well. It has reduced my water usage a lot, as I can soak wash most of my laundry in the bathtub without churning it, and then wring it with the water directly draining into the bathtub. This prevents damage to the clothing and the detergents that are available today are powerful enough to dissolve the dirt on the laundry without churning when soaked overnight. The electric washer does twist and wrap the laundry around, and eventually causes damage to it. The electric washer also uses a lot more water. The only tough part, which is not a problem for a strong male, is turning the top compression screw without greasing it. One can put a very small amount of grease on it which makes it very easy to turn. This screw has to be turned often as the thickness of the wrung item changes, like blue jeans, and after all of the wringing is complete, the screw has to be retracted completely to prevent a flat spot forming on the rollers. Laundry items with zippers and buttons have to be folded to place buttons and zippers inside the folded item (not touching the rollers) before wringing. I use the motorized gas dryer to dry the laundry after wringing. You can also hang the laundry to dry, as time and space allows.

I purchased the Calliger wringer from Mexico and had a friend of mine drive it down for me. I know that I cannot return items from here so I take my chances. Well after two loads of laundry all went well. I built a wooden stand for it and things were great. Then my third load was jeans. I did not want to overload the wringer so I was very careful, nevertheless the jeans got stuck after wringing the first leg, and I had a difficult time getting them back out again. Oh well, this thing won't do jeans. Then I try to do more laundry and guess what? I must have overloaded it with the jeans even though I was careful! After reading the latest reviews from some disappointed customers, I felt compelled to review this contraption. Well, I have broken something because it is now very difficult to use even wringing out a sock requires the open setting (no pressure applied to the top screw handle). I WILL take it apart and fix it. I bought this thing knowing that if anything goes wrong with it, I can weld, jerry-rig and replace parts forever. I just didn't think I would have to start doing this on DAY ONE OF USE! So, buyer beware you'll need to be handy and creative and just realize that yes, these big corp. manufacturers are putting out cheap crap so we continue to consume ourselves to death. It may work for electronics but it won't work this time Calliger. And folks, DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO USE THIS THING WITH JEANS. Geeze Calliger, everyone on the planet owns a pair of jeans, what were you thinking?? Oh yeah..
