Up until now Dual Narration has been my favorite form of audio-books. Crank is in a Duet Narration format. Boy did I not know what I was missing!!!! Seriously, why are all audio-books not in Duet Narration??!! I just absolutely adore the way the male speaks all the male parts and the female speaks all female parts. Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross are the absolute perfect cast for this book. They made for an amazing experience.
As for the book itself, Adriana Locke sure knows how to write small town romance. This is a small town grumpy mechanic meets a wealthy designer. The chemistry between Walker & Sienna practically jumps through the speaker. She's sweet and outgoing and he's grumpy and introverted. What seems like an unlikely match-up turns out to be just what these two characters need from a significant other. Everything seems to be going their way until the secret Walker's been keeping comes to light. The question these two now face is, how much can love overcome.
Not only is this book amazing, but it sets up the rest of the series great as well. There was no way after reading book one that I wouldn't be reading the rest of the series. It seems the Gibson family knows how to grow good looking men and I want to know all about each and every one of them.

Imagine reading this book BEFORE reading the Landry series? Not knowing who Sienna was prior to reading it? That was mr situation as I read this back in November but never gave it the proper review it deserves.Crank is a stand-alone book that is part of the Gibson boy series. I read these books out of order meaning, Adriana Locke began her story of these characters with: The Landry Family Series which then Segway’s into the Gibson family series by way of Sienna Landry. You don’t have to read the books in order of the author the series BUT I HIGHLY recommend if you begin the Crank, Landry or any of Adriana’s or realty any author’s books that you begin with book 1. Ive just made that mistake before and I notice small details are more recognized therefore enjoyable, when knowing all of the background regarding characters.Secondary characters are important in an Adriana Locke series. It’s in Crank where we are introduced to the Gibson brothers and their know it all but loving Grandmother. It’s a small town romance, they love their grandmother and each other but give each other a respectable amount of guy hard time humor. I found it enjoyable reading about the family dynamics and it felt natural between them. I always wonder how authors are able to interconnect characters seamlessly in stories.I recommend this as a beautiful way to start tons of books you will be able to read. I remember the say I saw that Adriana’s book were a series, they were connected and there were so many of them I was ecstatic. I knew I wouldn’t be doing anything other than reading them back to back until they were completed.
