These books aren't BAD but they're not great either.
The characters, Troy and Megs, (a nickname that bothered me every time it was said) are okaaaay...but their emotions and motivations flip on a dime.
Plus the conflict in the story (in both books in this series, actually) is never compelling enough to seem plausible or hold the reader's interest.
The reasons these two aren't together from day one are pretty flimsy.

After they get together, more predictable drama ensues. Just not very exciting or surprising.

AND, most importantly, for a Rock Star book, there's really ALMOST NO Rock Star stuff happening here. They're never on stage, the paparazzi are never seen...a couple of people recognize Troy and ask for autographs, but that's it.

Kind of a let down. After all, that's why I read this genre, for the rock glam, baby! Not to see them live quiet lives.
Sometimes it felt like they were in a small, Midwest town the way they walked around and nobody noticed.
Every time they mentioned they were in NY, I was like, oh right!
I grew up in NY and I wouldn't even describe NON-celeb lives in such a boringly tame way, living in Manhattan.

Anyway.
Disappointing.
Better end this review before I take it down another star. ;)

Troy Harris!!! What is there to say? He's sweet, funny, sexy, and well he's just everything.

I really enjoyed getting to read Megs and Troy's story, especially after meeting them in High Strung (Dan and Ash's book). Megs has this way about her that really draws Troy in, but he won't go past the whole "Friends" thing because of Dan and Ash being together and he doesn't want to make everything awkward if him and Megs did not work out.

The sexual tension and chemistry that exists between Megs and Troy is awesome. These two can say they are friends all they want, but you can feel it through you Kindle how much these two want each other and how much they belong to one another.

Megs knows she can't get Troy out of her mind, and finds a way to get him to agree to a one night, no holding back, get this out of their system deal, and then the next morning back to being friends. Troy was skeptical at first, but definitely gets on board with Megs.

Even though Megs and Troy have one hot and special night, walking away as just friends becomes very difficult for the two of them. Neither one of them is willing to tell the other they want more, so what happens next is a ton of misunderstandings and hilarious and awkward moments between these two before they finally get it right.

Megs and Troy's story is beautiful and I absolutely adored them. Both of them are a little crazy, but they belong together, just in the first few chapters you know these two are going to be hard to keep apart.Troy Harris... well let me say, I DEFINITELY swooned hard for him, the things he does, and says.. wow! He's definitely making his way up the book boyfriend list!

This book is hilarious, I think I laughed more in Crash Ride then I did in High Strung.

4 Crashing Hard Stars!

While High Strung made me a Power Station fan, Crash Ride made me a T. Gephart believer!

Oh Troy Harris! Yep, first and last name is needed. He is the drummer of Power Station and he is beyond amazing. I had a bit of love for him when Dan and Ashlyn had their go-around in book 1 and I could feel the pull he was throwing toward the flirty friend Megs!!!

Unlike your typical Rock God, Troy Harris is sweet and sensitive. He is loyal to the end and has an amazing head on his shoulders. He wants nothing more than to shake it up with the blonde bombshell, Megs. And let me say, Miss Megs is all for shaking it up! This intelligent ball of fire does not make it easy for him. Just Sex...Just one night...just take care of an itch. It will be alright in the end...right? We are friends right?

UMMMMM....NOPE. Troy and Megs are explosive. They fit perfectly and their time together is off the wall hot and sexy. Pretty predictable that one night would not be enough...oh but Lord if they don't play the "I'm ok/just friends" card too hard!

Good thing for them, no one else seems to care they are together. No one has an issue with their "relationship." This is good since they will need all the love and support they can get because as fast as they came together...life changes faster...and a bit of "crash" makes their ride much more than bargained for!

If you’ve read High Strung (and if you haven’t, you should) you know all about Dan’s band mate and best friend, Troy Harris, and Ash’s best friend, Megs. When I read book one in this series, Megs made me laugh so hard… the bar scene with her was one of the funniest parts of the book. So when I saw that this was their book, Megs and Troy, I jumped at the chance to read it! And I’m so glad I did! As much as I enjoyed book one, this was even funnier, even sexier and just hit my love buttons!

Megs Winters is a professional. She comes from a family of doctors and she is good at what she does. But she’s got this other side. This side that is fun and a little crazy. She loves the band Power Station, especially the drummer, Troy Harris. Now that she knows Troy, it still doesn’t make being around him easier.

Megs will have you rolling with laughter from the very beginning of this story. She and Troy are extremely attracted to one another, but have decided seeing each other would be bad. Both of their best friends are together and happy. It’s a recipe for disaster to start a relationship. But maybe one night… one night of no strings attached sex would be okay.

But this one night wasn’t just sex. It was phenomenal sex. The best sex of their lives. How can you just have one night of that kind of sex? Is it even possible? So an idea is born…

I know that the friends with benefits books have been done before. But there was something different about this, something better. It was just one of those reads I didn’t want to put down. There was a bit of predictability, but also a few thing that I didn’t see coming. It was just such an entertaining and enjoyable read. Megs and Troy… their sex is so freaking hot. Their chemistry is off the charts high.
