I was excited to read this book "Crashing the Concert." I always enjoy reading books about crime and detective work. This book features two female detectives . Both women are tough, smart and sexy and aren't afraid to do what it takes to get the job done! Scarlet and her partner Aleah are not just floozies in the story, they are complex characters. And to top it off, it's personal - Scarlet's mother was one of the victims. Her boss wants to pull her off the case, but she assures him that she will work it as a cop and not a revengeful daughter.
I cannot wait for light to be shed on their personalities and go deeper into their lives and what makes them tick. It was also nice to see women in control of the physical situations and not always the men! The "encounters" are written well, without being overly crude and fit in with the story.
This story left off at a point where you know something big is about to happen and I can't wait! I want to read more about the vampires and werewolves too. Even though this was only Part 2 of the book, I am intrigued and look forward to reading the rest.
