Crashing Down is Cathryn Fox's newest novel. It's a summer romance with a heart-felt twist. The author created an incredible connection between all of the characters as well as the depth and feelings for each personality. I was deeply submerged in the story from the delicately written script this author constructed.
Noah Ryan has many demons. He dropped out of college after a fatal accident that left him questioning himself, his work ethics, and life. After taking a job at the Stone Cliff Resort in the heart of Alberta's Rocky Mountains, he vowed that he didn't deserve to be happy and simple was better. Noah was known at the resort as the playboy and no strings attached was his motto. Until a bright, beautiful red head comes to work at the resort; he vows to stay away from her type, but she awakens emotions in him that he never wanted or thought he deserved.
Kathryn Lane is an overworked college student who is trying to please her father. Her dad has her future mapped out which includes working along side him in the business world. Kathryn has always wanted something different, but to please her father she continues down the road of business. All of that changes when she takes a job at the Stone Cliff Resort for the summer. She meets the infamous Noah Ryan and her whole world changes.
This beautiful story brought me such a sense of belonging and love. I felt so deeply involved in the development of the tragedy, as if I was a part of it all. A superb summer sensation, Cathryn.

From the very first chapter it is evident that Noah likes to live life on the edge and that he is a troubled young man. He lives life like it's his last day on earth, he makes bad decisions, and he doesn't apologize to anyone but we also see that he's a good friend to those in need. When he meets Kathryn for the first time he can tell she is as closed off as he use to be and he vows to help her loosen up. Kathryn had her whole summer planned out in her head; work, work and more work but when Amy a co-worker and then Noah decide to help her loosen up, her summer turns out much differently and much better than she ever imagined.
I loved watching Kat come into her own during this story and while some of it had to do with Noah a lot of it had to do with her taking a look at her life and seeing it differently than was planned for her. The thing is I really think she didn't like herself very much or maybe it was more that she didn't like her life when the book started and as it progressed we saw her blossom and it was truly special. Noah also underwent some great changes during their time together and even better was that he opened up to Kat like he hadn't done with anyone before. These two shared so much with each other; hopes, fears, dreams and yes, love. That's not to say there weren't some critical errors made, but even those were part of them learning about life.
Exciting, entertaining, sexy and fun; I can only hope the other books in this series will be as good as Crashing Down!
