I got this book for Christmas, along with 6 others. I was a little skeptical since it’s a celebrity cookbook. A month later, I am reaching for this book almost exclusively over my other new ones. Everything I’ve made has hit it out of the park. I’ve cooked 15 things in here so far. These are truly delicious recipes. I’m a very experienced home cook, but even for those with less experience, these recipes are manageable. I laughed a bit at some of the modelesque photos of Chrissy (not that she doesn’t look amazing) because I rarely see that in a cookbook. At least the ones I own. The food photography is gorgeous. I’m wondering how she maintains her figure if she eats like this very often. The recipes aren’t healthy by any stretch, but I think that is fairly clear in the book description. Know this isn’t a diet book. It’s called “Cravings” for a reason! On the negative side, some of the ingredients in the Thai section may be hard to find if you live in a smaller area. The ingredient lists are fairly long, and I feel like the recipes take a bit longer to prepare than the recipe states, so just know that. Might not be what you reach for if you want a quick weeknight meal. There are no dessert recipes in this book, which is kind of a bummer. The print is very small, but that’s just nitpicking.

Try the biscuits and gravy recipe! There isn’t much new to be brought to biscuits and gravy, but her maple cream takes it to a whole other level. I had never heard of or tasted Pad Grapow, but I made it last night. So good! I love being introduced to new things. I feel like many of the recipes in here are things most people will have tried in some iteration, myself included. In my case however, most of the things in the Thai section are new to me, and I can’t wait to try everything in it! Thanks for introducing Sambal Olek into my life Chrissy! Yum.

This book was the one I was least excited to use out of the ones I received for Christmas, but it’s the one I like the most! I really do love this book. Would recommend to anyone, or buy as a gift for someone else! This book exceeded my expectations by a long shot.

I hope she comes out with another book, and I would love a dessert section.

I admit it, I ordered the book a little biased. I love Chrissy, and she loves food. However loving food doesn't mean you can cook. After some debating I got the book. I have tons of cookbooks. Everytime I get a new cookbook I read it cover to cover like a story. I have to say first off I was so impressed. The recipes are not complicated, they don't require 50 ingredients you can only find in 12 different specialty stores. The recipes are simple and straight forward. The directions clear. The pictures, are exactly what you want out of a cookbook. They make you hungry and want to cook. That's exactly what I did! I have made a few recipes and so far everything is ass delicious as you would think. My only critique is I wish there were some desserts. I love sugar even thou it doesn't love me. I get it thou, I can't bake either so why put in baking recipies if you can't bake. If you love food and cooking buy it. The food is delicious, the book is fun to read. I am very happy with my purchase. Pre-ording her second cookbook. Can't wait!

I love this book! As soon as I got it I started cooking the recipes. Some are pretty simple and common recipes, but there are others that have become staples. I love her little stories for each recipe and its easy to make it your own, adding or substituting any ingredients. I still use this book and I make notes on the ones I use, any subs, or additions. I really love that anyone can do theses recipes, this is a great starter recipe book for anyone wanting to learn to cook, or get back into making homemade meals. They vary from hearty breakfast meals, salads, soups, Thai food, and a couple of John's recipes. Im looking forward to her second book right now.

Every single thing in this cookbook looks delicious! Honestly, it does. The recipes are not "healthy" or "light." It's not what you would expect from a supermodel! But she explains how she wants every single bite she eats to be delicious, and all of these recipes fit the bill. Her spunky attitude shines throughout the entire book, making it also a fun read and not just a cookbook. I am a cookbook collector/obsessor, and I can tell this will become one of my all tie favorites! I literally can't wait to start cooking!!

Since purchasing I have cooked the following recipes:

-Capon's Chrissy Burger
-John's Crispy Roasted Potatoes
-Chinese Chicken Salad
-Lemony Arugula Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe
-Sweet Chili & Mustard Glazed Salmon
-Thai Pounded Papaya Salad
-Grilled Garlic Soy Shrimp
-Chicken Lettuce Wraps (served over rice)
-Pad Grapow Chicken (Basil Chicken)
-Roasted Cauliflower, Orzo & Feta Salad
-Sriracha Caesar Salad (with added chicken)
-Chipotle Honey Chicken

All but one were really good! The method of roasting the potatoes made them much crispier than usual. I would make everything again except the glazed salmon. The method of cooking didn't turn out well, and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. I made the papaya salad with spiralized cucumber (as a suggestion in the recipe intro) and it was good, but I would probably leave the fish sauce out as it was too strong for me. But the Cacio e Pepe--SO GOOD!! I would make this everyday. The sriracha Caesar was really thick--I wonder if subbing a few tablespoons of buttermilk for some mayo would help. Still good! But the little garlic toasts were too salty. Less salt next time

There are several recipes that I plan on trying. I love reading cookbooks and this one really surprised me. I was expecting a lot of "light" recipes and this one is not about the "light" cooking...it's about "good" cooking.

If you make nothing else, make the Jok Moo. The most comforting delicious food ever. Better than my fave Mac & cheese. I made this because I was upset about Anthony Bourdain and it was a comfort. Thanks, Chrissy. AB RIP

I have been ordering from Amazon since they first started and have never before been inspired to write a review. I am a grandmother who LOVES to cook and I love this cookbook. Chrissy writes with great humor and PASSION. We need more passion in our lives and fun, tasty ways to cook standard meals and turn them into memorable meals. This cookbook delivers on all.

A few negative comments mention that the recipes are unhealthy and that the language is offensive. Geez! If you are a cook, adapt recipes to suit you and have a sense of humor. This is a unique and fun cookbook. Breakfast recipes are all interesting and delicious.

Obsessed. Most of the recipes are super easy and use ingredients I already have. Chrissy's voice makes it more fun and the photos are great. Of course they're not really healthy, but you can always substitute ingredients. Either way everything delicious and truly is what people want to eat. If you're having people over whip up some stuff from this book and you'll get loads of compliments. So glad I got this.

This cookbook really surprised me. The recipes are unpretentious and accessible for a wide range of cooking skill levels. All the food looks delicious and down to earth. I've made the biscuits and gravy (see photo) and they were amazing. My fiancé told me they were the best he had ever tasted, and we are what I would call biscuits and gravy connoisseurs. Chrissy's recipe is better than anything I've tasted even in some of the best Southern breakfast/brunch joints.

LOVE Chrissy Teigen and this cookbook. Her personality definitely comes through in the way it is written and the type of recipes included. Many of the recipes only use a few ingredients and are very simple as well. Would definitely recommend.
