A huge problem I have with these pencils is that if you erase something you've written on some brands of paper, the pencils will not write on that part of the paper anymore, which effectively cancels out the advantage of the pencils being erasable.
Another frustrating thing is that they will pick up regular lead and get murky looking. Blendability is awesome in art pencils for art work. That's not why I'm using color pencils, though. I need erasable color pencils for drawing graphs in STEM mathematics, sometimes two, three or four line transformations on one graph with multiple coordinate points everywhere that require precision (in my case lots of erasing to be precise), and these pencils just don't cut it for what I needed them for.
I also don't like that they're used and done. I like the Pilot Enos and Pentel mechanical color pencils because I can replace the lead, not the pencils, which is more environmentally friendly. Unless your Pilot or Pentel gets stolen, like mine did (sad face here).
I've ordered another set of my Pilot Enos to replace the set that got stolen and will keep these around as an emergency back up set or as highlighters for my agenda or any coloring I might need to do. I don't know when I'd need to do that, but you never know. These pencils are probably good for things like that, so they're not a total waste of my money.
