There are several games to play and activity apps including animation and movie option for your drawings. You can get as creative as you like or keep drawing as basic as you wish.
My 4 yr old just enjoyed drawing on the 360 degree digital surface and wasn't worried about apps or games he just loved switching back and forth between the colors and drawing his own designs.
My 7 yr old son wanted to try it all and was interested in seeing what else he could do and the different modes of play that changed his drawings. He really likes to draw on it and borrows it from his sister every chance he gets. (I bet I'll be buying one for him before too long.)
My 12 yr old daughter absolutely loves it and jumped into creating movies and drawing digital art designs immediately. She loves that she can change colors so easily and that animating her drawings his her drawing a whole new dimension. She gets really creative. It's the first thing she pulls out to show her friends when they come by.
The one complaint that I have about the Crayola Digital Light designer is that the motor hums really loud. I'm not sure if this was just ours but it's quite distracting.
The Digital light designer takes 4 D batteries to operate along with 2 double AA's for the drawing stylist. With that being said I hope Crayola will come out with a battery rechargeable version.
