1. It comes with five different types of brushes so you can make several different types of strokes.
2. They are easy for kids age 2 or 3 on up to use.
3. The plastic handles are sturdy and colorful.
4. The bristles do not fall out.
5. They are easy to clean.
6. They are much more interesting than having ordinary paintbrushes. My daughter likes experimenting with the types of lines she can make with these. They make painting much more fun for her (and me).
7. The pointy-tipped ones are great for more intricate designs, especially when painting a non-paper craft.
I recommend these to anyone who has children. They're not only great for painting on paper but also for decorating crafts. They're the best children's paintbrushes that I have had (even compared to when I was a child), and I will be buying more of these if I ever need to replace the ones I already have.
I love the variety of size brushes so she can learn how to do different strokes and create different paintings. And I love the bright fun colors. So far she's used them with watercolor, acrylic and tempura paints. They've held up very well and have not seen any loose bristles. Nor have I found them smashed out of shape like some cheaper paint brushes you can get. They rinse clean very easily. I Would recommend.
The brushes are comfortable to hold. They are for kids and not as long as adult brushes but certainly long enough if I want to paint with them.
The largest brush is 7in long and the smallest brush is just over 6in long. The width of the brush depends on the size of the brush....they are all different.
They are smooth plastic. Light and easy to hold for a toddler but not that lightweight cheap plastic. I was surprised how nice they are. They give a little if you apply pressure but these won't break unless you are really trying. Again, not that cheap plastic.
The bristles are good and synthetic. We didn't have any loose bristles at all which tells me these are made well. And the cuffs are metal not plastic.
A couple of the brushes were a little stiff so didn't hold paint very long...specifically the angled brushes. But then again how else would you get a straight edge? My girls at this point to care about straight edges but can't fault the design of the brush.
Over all I really like these brushes and will be looking for a couple extra of the large brush if sold separately. And probably a case.
I would definitely recommend to a friend.
