Bought them for my daughter as she loves to cut paper and I felt more comfortable having her use these than traditional scissors. Figures the different styles was a bonus. They were terrible. The paper would fold inside of the scissors or just rip. Caused more frustration then anything else. Need to buy some real crafting scissors.
After browsing Amazon, these looked like they were both 1.) safe 2.) cheap. And that sealed the deal for me! I opened them right when they arrived and made my kid start cutting. He loved the different cutting styles and happily cut all of the paper he could find. And then he started cutting the leaves of our house plants. That's what happens when you look a way for 1 second. Seriously, 1 second!
My husband was in awe that the scissors actually cut anything!
My five year old grandson loves to do art projects. While visiting him one weekend his scissors broke and as very upset. I had him help me order this on-line so he knew they were on the way and he could watch for them. When they arrived he was very excited about the three different types of scissors, straight, wavy and cross cut. I was already home but he had to call me and tell me how excited he was.
I liked the fact they they do not cut hair or skin but thy do cut paper for art projects so they would be safe and useful for him.
I give the the top rating. I am very happy with them and they should last for quite a while. When he does break them I will order another set.
