I highly recommend Crazy in the Heart to anyone looking for the perfect summer reading book!
The author, Kimberly Gordon, has done an incredible job writing this book! Her insights into human behavior, her humor, and her wonderful abilities as a writer really shine through each page! I couldn't put it down, and the author really made me feel like I was right there, living it all!
I highly recommend this funny, inspiring, at times heartbreaking book! Really good! I'm really excited it's a series, I can't wait for the next one!
"Life makes you crazy,
Love makes you crazier,
Laughter makes it better."
This book has the zaniest cast of characters I've seen in one book in a long time starting with the hero and heroine and going straight down to the most minor of characters in the small town of Calpernica, Illinois. They all have big personalities and a whole lot of love. It is the kind of craziness that can only be found in small towns where everyone knows who you are and all of your faults but loves you anyway.
I wanted the heroine to be my friend even though passing out near her could be a dangerous thing if one wanted to keep their dignity intact. I fell in love with the hero who had lived through devastation and came out of the other side stronger than he thought he was.
Overall, it was a great romantic read with lots of laughter, lots of tears and lots of growth in two very loveable main characters amongst a whole cast of memorable characters that you hope to see again in the next book.
