I don't have enough words for how much I loved this book.
Lately, I just don’t seem to have the reading time that I used to so it can take me a while to get finished. With Crazy Love I found myself letting the housework slide so I could just carry on devouring it. Hell, I nearly feigned illness so that my husband would take over caring for the kids and just leave me reading! It’s THAT good.
In Crazy Love there’s quite a mixed bag of characters I loved every single one of them, even if some of them didn’t deserve that love at times (Jayse – I’m looking at YOU!).
Annie was a real firecracker. She’d been through some pretty horrific stuff in her childhood but that only served to make her stronger and I loved her HARD because of that.
Sam, Sam, Sam … I had a definite soft spot for Sam. I freaking LOVED how he was so affected by Annie. My absolute favourite part of the story, the part that made my heart skip a beat, was when Sam and Annie were dancing together at a Débutante Ball. Their exchange during their slow dance just made me … feel … so much. I whooped, I did a happy sigh, I swooned, and I wanted to happy cry.
And Trip? What can I say about Trip? He was just a hot mess, or so I thought. I really didn’t want to like him, or root for him. And then Michelle Pace made me fall in LOVE with him. He had his problems and he had real, effed up, reasons for having them. He was dealing with so. much. But when it mattered … he did the right thing. I loved his loyalty to his family, no matter what it cost him personally.
I realise I am using lots of capital letters and the word LOVED a LOT in this review but I DON’T CARE! I really did LOVE it, CRAZY, right?!
You know another thing I LOVED? Just when I thought I had the plot worked out Michelle Pace changed it all up and threw me for a loop.
Love triangle? Yes? No? Maybe?
Crazy, alcoholic character who doesn’t give a s*** about others? Yes? Maybe? No!
A past relationship that can’t be salvaged? Who knows?!
An explosive secret from the past that could rock everyone’s world? YES!
Seriously, I could tell you more about this book but I would be rambling, and I would just relay the entire story to you since there are so many parts of it that I would love to tell you about. That’s how much I enjoyed (see I didn’t say LOVED?!) reading this story. So, just go read it and then come back and tell me you agree!
