A. D. Justice has delivered yet another wonderful book and I love, love, love! Luke and Andi are beyond amazetastic. Yes I made that up, but it is WELL DESERVED.
Luke is an amazing man. He is the supposed black sheep because he followed his dreams and not what was expected of him from his family. He wants to be a fighter and is going through a phase of self discovery when he meets Andi. Andi is, dare I say it, thee BEST female character I have ever had the pleasure of reading. She is beyond amazing in every aspect a female lead should be and one that I love. She is caring, loving, affectionate, and just an all around good person. She is strong and resilient even after everything she was put through and I admire her so much more for it.
From the moment Luke and Andi meet there was something between them that keeps them coming back for more. The first time they met was at a bar where Andi more or less sang for Luke and he knew it. There were sparks between them and desire. As fate would have it Luke, sees Andi in the gym he was hoping to be trained to become a boxer. They start hanging out, and the more they do the more the attraction becomes stronger between them. When they finally act on their attraction their relationship is one of the best for them both, but there were still things in their pasts that they didn't want to discuss. An act of desperation reveals a deep and dark secret from Andi's past and Luke's insecurities about his past relationship comes back with a vengeance.
Right when I thought I knew what was going to happen there was a twist in events. There are some very great revelations made about who Andi really is and the events surrounding her darkest secret. This book got me hook, line, and sinker and I loved EVERY second of it til the very end. Throughout the entire journey I was an emotional mess. I laughed, cried, cringed, got teary, and got mad amongst other things. All the characters are so great and just people you would WANT to get to know. I must admit that even though Luke was a great hero and a very great character my favorite was Shane.
Trust me when I say you will fall in love with the writing of this book and will NOT regret it. I recommend this book to everyone who wants a captivating story of real issues and real people and survivors. AWESOME and FANTASTIC READ. ONE-CLICK IT!
I absolutely love that this book was unpredictable and relatable. The writing of A.D. Justice is phenomenal. This is a great book and I cannot wait for more in this series.
The characters amazed me at every turn. They are so complex, mature and level-headed and I absolutely love that in a story. Andy is strong and independent yet soft and vulnerable. She lost her parents at a young age and was basically tossed into hell after that. She came out of it a stronger person and who will do everything in her power to help those that are living the childhood she was forced to live, as well as all others in her life. Anything she can do to make someone else’s life better, whether it’s emotional support or even financial in some situations, she does it without thought or expectation of anything in return. Family is a very important focus in this story and you see it with Andi and Luke. I connected with Luke within the first few chapters of the book. He’s a strong alpha but he has such a sweet side for Andi it will bring tears to your eyes. He was raised in an environment where he was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps so when he chooses another career path, it causes hard feelings and judgements that causes their family bond to suffer. Luke finds a family in those he works with at the gym, including Andi.
One other thing I enjoyed…I see a lot of books where the author publishes a playlist to go along with the story but, I’ll admit that I don’t usually check it out because I’m too busy reading '. AD Justice did something a little different and I loved it. She ties her playlist into the story itself because the lyrics mean something to the story. Andi sometimes has trouble expressing her feelings so she relies on music to help with this and throughout the story, she uses music to help express her feelings. I thought that was a nice touch.
I’m happy and surprised to say this book was so much more than I expected! I know the blurb is usually the hardest part of writing a book and, although the blurb for Crazy Maybe is excellent, this story has so much more depth to it…there’s no way possible to capture it all in just a few paragraphs…you just need to read it! It deals with some pretty touchy topics but I love the way it was written…and that ending…HELL YES!!!
