I always feel like there is something special about books that begin with the couple already together. While the angst of will they/won’t they has its place, navigating the pitfalls of a relationship always pulls on my heartstrings. Adley and Lincoln had their share of things to overcome, many of those issues constructed in their own heads, and taking the journey with them to conquer them was a beautiful ride.
Adley and Lincoln had both been on the periphery of the first two books in this series, and while I loved the idea of them together – who doesn’t love a brother’s best friend story – I didn’t have a great read on who they were. After getting to know them in Crazy, Stupid Love, I honestly couldn’t think of two people who were better suited for one another. Adley needed someone who would love and protect her without smothering her and Lincoln needed someone strong enough to show him what love truly was when he’d never experienced healthy love. Together they were able to help one another overcome their fears and struggles exquisitely.
As much as I loved Adley and Lincoln’s journey together, Lincoln’s secondary storyline with his dad – and sister, to some extent – pushed this novel from the land of good love story into the realm of a great story of healing. Seeing the three of them start taking steps to put their past behind them made Crazy, Stupid love something incredibly special.
Crazy, Stupid Love is the third book in KL Grayson’s Dirty Dicks series. These books are interconnected standalones, and the series doesn’t need to be read in its entirety to enjoy each story. This book, in particular, has few ties to the two previous novels beyond mentions of the other couples. Crazy, Stupid Love is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Adley and Lincoln.
KL Grayson continues to impress me with her writing. She continually chooses sensitive topics to write about and does it in a way that feels respectful and real, without feeling exploitative of people who have dealt with the situations in real life. Her writing effortlessly flows from deep and meaningful to light and comedic. Having read all her published works, I can tell you Ms. Grayson continues to grow and learn her art, and I am in love with her work.
Adley Allen never expected to fall for her brother's best-friend but she did. And now she was sick of hiding what she had with Lincoln, she was ready to come out into the light, no matter what.
But the man who'd stolen her heart wasn't. She understood where he was coming from after he laid all his cards on the table. Eventually they both decided to go public with their relationship.
Adley received some life changing news that she waited to share with Linc. Both Adley and Lincoln had to face their demons before they were one hundred percent ready for the future that awaited them.
CRAZY STUPID LOVE is the third book in K.L. Grayson's DIRTY DICKS series. What a humorous, fascinating and mind-blowing ride. Awesome job by K.L. Grayson! 5++++
Lincoln is best friends with Adley’s older brother. He starts a thing with Adley thinking that it won’t go anywhere because he doesn’t want it to go anywhere. He doesn’t believe he is cut for being in a committed, loving relationship. Adley is not looking for anything serious either and is convinced that they can pull off a no strings attached deal. But, the heart wants what it wants. And their hearts decide that they want the other, except that said hearts forget to send the message to the respective brains and that’s how we end up with a little bit of drama on our hands.
I was rooting for Lincoln and Adley to see the light and was so happy when they got there. I also loved all the secondary characters, loved revisiting with everyone that we met in the previous books. And, just so everyone knows, even though this is sort of a series and characters from previous books popped up, this can definitely be read as a stand-alone as well. It is a lot more fun if you know them from before, but it will not ruin anything if you don’t. Happy summer reading!
From beginning to end this book made me laugh, swoon and even had me shed a tear. Lincoln hasn't had the same kind of life Adley did and because of that he doesn't think he's good enough for her...adding onto the fact that she's the little sister of his best friend. But since they've both been drawn to each other for so long, there's no way they're not going to take their friendship to another level...as long as no one knows about it.
As they spend more and more time together, they realize there's so much more going on...unfortunately Linc doesn't want to risk losing the only family he's ever really known so he doesn't want to take what they've found to something more permanent. Well Adley has something to say about that and she's bound and determined to make him hers for the rest of their lives.
The heat these two generated is off the charts combustible!! I found myself having to turn my air down just to cool myself off! with each book in this series, Ms. Grayson makes me fall more in love with this town and this ranch! These books are definite must reads and perfect for that day by the pool or at the beach!

I've actually fell in love with this series. It's made me care about each and every character i there and that's my favorite thing to find in a series.
Up now is little sister Adley. We've had hints throughout the series that Adley and Lincoln are bumping uglies and we join them after the fact.
Both Adley and Linc are feeling more than they should for a casual fling. In the beginning that was what they both agreed to but as time has gone on they both want more.
Adley is coming to the end of her exams to become a nurse so she knows her time with Linc could be limited as she'll be job hunting and not spending as much time in his town.
Linc is having a tough time with his father and trying to earn enough money to look after him and his sister. He knows he's not good enough for Adley but he can't bring himself to let her go so he decides to give it a shot.
They both agree to be more but of course this is when all the complications come in. Adley has personal problems and Linc is struggling with his Father. Can they make it even till they get the chance to tell her family?
Love love love love loved it. These books have such a good feel to them my heart fills even before i pick them up!
I loved Adley, have done from the start but you see more of her straight talking in this book. I loved how she wasn't afraid to come out and say how she feels. I also loved her sweetness. She wanted to look after Linc when no one else had ever before. Simple things like doing his washing made me smile.
Linc is just EVERYTHING!! I mean hot bull rider, sexy as sin, alpha bossypants, loyal, honorable, dominant, sweet, caring, lovely honestly his only downside was not being able to express himself properly! lol All the rest YES YES YES!
Start to finish i was captured in the web of the Dirty Dicks family. I think that's my favorite thing about this series is the feel of it. We get to know everyone we come across and get to really care for them. It's amazing catching up with everyone i can't wait for Rhett and Mo's wedding and for the proposal i'm sure Trevor will soon be delivering. And finally we meet the illusive Beau!! Looks like Cooper's is gonna be last i can't wait to see him fall!!
The ending had me tearing up and jumping up and down with joy. Totally perfect for them!!
I can't get enough of this series. It really is becoming one of my absolute faves. Bring on the next!!
Highly recommend. Brilliantly written series which will steal your heart!
5 "i'm Crazy in Love with this series" stars
Brilliantly written as usual Crazy Stupid Love is very sad in parts as it deals with a mixture of emotions, there’s anger, forgiveness, trust, accepting and second or third chances especially when it comes to Lincoln’s father but it was all for real this time round.
I loved Lincoln and Adley’s story and I love how K.L. Grayson drops hints and builds us up ready for the next story. We have at least Cooper or Beau to go yet.!
I have to say though... Its been a very long time but the memories come flooding back reading the sample of Where We Belong, I’m rooted to the spot because I know what’s coming it isn’t pleasant it completely flaw’s you, I’m going to have to read it all again which could possibly mean the whole (Touch of Fate) series and what an emotional heartbreaking series that was.!
Love this author..
