My only complaint is that one of the HZ-100P cameras had some alignment problem, like the board was not mounted flat compared to the lens, or the CCD chip was not flat on the board, such that the focus was not consistent between the left and right edges. It still did fine for my needs, but you may want to test yours carefully.
I'm using the cameras for a webcast system at a curling club, where the cameras are mounted over the ice in fixed positions, and the signal goes into a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 capture card. The manual zoom allowed selecting the precise desired field of view. However setting the zoom and focus is rather painful, as they impact each other, so it takes lots of trial and error. Furthermore, the focus adjustments are extremely sensitive, and the slightest possible focus movement makes the difference between in-focus and blurry.
If you are trying to decide between the HZ-100P and HZ-101P models, the main difference is the case. The 101P is a rectangular box with standard tripod mounts, while the 100P uses a mounting bracket which does not have a tripod-compatible connection.
The other big difference is that the 100P has a wire tail with the menu control and three-way split for video and power, while the 101P has separate connectors and a menu joystick mounted directly on the box. I prefer the tail on the 100P for three reasons. First, on the 101P, using the menu joystick is much more awkward and will inadvertently change where the camera is pointing. Second, good quality SDI cables are rather stiff, so connecting them to the more flexible tail on the 100P can be more convenient. Third, the power connector on the 101P is soldered directly to the circuit board, and if you jerk the cable, or drop the camera a foot or so with the power cable connected, then the solder connection can break giving you an intermittent connection, so you need to disassemble it and re-solder the joint (the operation is quick and easy if you know what you are doing and happen to have soldering capabilities handy).
One other difference between the camera models is the lens. The lenses are replaceable but the models have different lens mount sizes. The 101P has a physically bigger lens, which may give it slightly better quality or low-light capabilities, but I didn't notice anything obvious. The 101P lens has a manual iris adjustment, which might allow you a little more control with depth-of-field adjustments.
This thing only works at 1080p30 as it clearly says in the description of the product at the bottom of this page but on the top of the page under the name of the product it syas it can do 1080p at frame rate 60 which is not possible and I think is falsely advertised on purpose. prove me wrong and fix it
