It does in fact work for the older than 1997 and up models they describe. The si gle only thing that is different is that my opener is the green learn button where I attempted multiple times to program for without luck. So, I started over by trying each color and surprisingly #1 or yellow button works for a 1995 green button learn. Regardless of that, it works. Fortunately, during .y pursuit to make the door operate remotely again, I discovered the sensors and wiring were all damaged in some way, so those get replaced tomorrow. As far as function goes, the left button raises and lowers fine. The fob isn't really waterproof so keep that in mind. The right button i am guessing is for the garage door lights having no bulbs presently so I can't say if that button works though I assume it does. The range so far goes out across the driveway and inside my truck. Buy batteries also. The ones supplied are iffy. I had one good to go remote and one I had to change so it would program. They are the cr2032 coin batteries.
For the price they are perfect.
