I bought this to replace my old Fatal1ty headset. Much of it is about the same as that headset, including the long nearly 9 foot long cord which I personally love about this headset. The sound quality is nearly, if not exactly the same as that headset also. It is perfect as a gaming headset. The pads at the ears are comfortable for me and I have a large head! Since you can adjust the top as needed, there is no need for them to fit "tight" as some folks have said. I am 70% deaf in my left ear, and these really do help, keeping the outside noises at bay.
My biggest complaint is the in-line control, with its on-off switch, and volume dial -- they are made out of very cheap light-weight plastic, and the cord feels like it would snap if you accidentally tripped over it. If you are careful, this would probably never be an issue for you, but I need to move around my office at times, and need the longer cord.
The mic is crystal clear according to my gaming mates, and I have zero complaints with the mic at all. It stays where you move it, and pics up my voice perfectly -- too bad I cannot sing a note!
Short version: An amazing headset for sound and noise cancellation, and quite comfortable. Excellent mic and over-all construction EXCEPT the cord and the in-line controls which are cheaply made plastic, and a cord that will probably break the first time you trip over it.
As one might infer from my headline, cable fraying and subsequent loss of one channel, then the other is a common woe for me. The combination of long cords(great!), and stress around the point where the cord meets the headset proper typically result in premature failure(Bad!) seems to be remedied here. (notice my hedging?) But seriously, I am as gentle as I can be with these things, and yet that junction is nearly always the point of failure.
I have had these since Aug. 2018 and this set shows no evidence of this most common of woes. Where the headset fails to impress is with the cheap volume control/mic switch. It's not of very high quality. I could not deduct a star for that as I simply encased the potential issue in black electrical tape. To be completely frank about it, my young male feline thought it a fine chewable, and I saw trouble a brewin.'
The sound isn't the greatest if you've experienced higher sound quality, but it's very good considering the low cost of entry. The headphones also fit very well and are comfortable enough to use while coding for 12 hour stretches. That's important. The microphone is pretty good, too. I am not a gamer, but I have recorded my voice, and during playback it really sounds me. This is not true for many budget headsets.
All in all, there's not much to complain about here for the price. If Creative simply did away with the "In-line Remote With Volume and Mic Controls" the set would be both improved and cost a wee bit less to produce. That's a win!
Shorter review: Cord is long, and doesn't seem fray crazy. Inline switch could be better. Sound is very good at this price point.

Giusti compromessi ad un prezzo accessibile, headset buono, per quanto mi riguarda leggero, il filo è delicato e va tenuto con riguardo.
Ordered from a search for "TRRS Headset" because I have a device with a TRRS jack. This device comes with two separate TRS jacks for headphones and mic.
I ended up ordering a separate adapter cable to merge headphones and mic into a single TRRS plug,
I like how it's very light and, to me, it sounds great. Very comfortable for long gaming sessions. It feels very similar to the Sound Blaster Inferno, which I also liked. The cable is also pretty long.
The velvet padding is not sound isolating, which I prefer because I want to be able to listen to anybody calling my name.
