The author has a gift to create the perfect atmosphere for each story. There is a wonderful range from moody to intense. Dancing Shoes was my favorite, but there wasn’t a weak one in the bunch. Grace was intense to read. So impressive.
I love the mix of real emotion with the fictional. The narration is stunning. I would love to read more from Suzanne Strong.
Suzanne Strong spins tales of different lives, with the exception of one story that’s based on a true story, "the real life story of Ahmed who lost his life in Israel/Jenin in 2005…”

These stories will linger in your mind with its inconclusive endings, which evoke our empathy and understandings. While in each situation the main characters are unique, there are common aches and pains dealing with those situations which resemble our lives.
