One of the best headsets I've purchased, one of the worst mics.

I want to like it, I really want to like it. This is the most comfortably headset I've purchased thus far in nearly 30 years of life. The elasticity is spot on, the cups are just the right size, it doesn't get too hot or heavy and doesn't give me a headache if I wear it for more than an hour. The sounds come through perfectly fine. Nothing groundbreaking but it is competent. All of this for a very reasonably price. I was expecting far lower quality.

However the mic is atrocious. Since I have received it, I have had to do much more fine tuning to get it to function than other headsets. Every couple days it gets worse. The mic captures less and less and I have to keep turning up the sensitivity to get it to pick up anything at all. Everyone complains the voice comes through very quietly and sometimes unclear. I have tried everything short of buying a new mic (it is a removable piece) and it just keeps getting worse in a short period of time. I like everything about this headset except the mic but that is a huge part of a headset and online play.

For the price ($20-25) that these are normally going for, they are hard to beat. They are made of plastic, but feel pretty sturdy and the pair I've been using for gaming have lasted me for a couple years now. Even with my kids bending the mike boom and pulling the cables or twisting the actual headset, they have held up without any issues. They sound great for gaming, though they are not really meant for listening to music if you care about all the nuances. They do produce a lot of bass and sound much better than ear buds, if you wanted to simply listen to popular music. You can also remove the mike boom making them a standard set of headphones in that case. I actually purchased these from another site, then bought a set here as a backup but so far they are still in the box. The ear cups aren't large like some sets, so they mainly sit on your ears, but are still quite comfortable over long periods. One thing that some might not like, but that I do appreciate, is that they don't seal out all sound, but do muffle most sounds so you are distracted while gaming, but you can still hear your wife calling you or your kids getting into trouble in the next room. I have a couple pairs of more expensive, wireless headphones from this and another brand, and although they block out more room noise, they are heavy, warm on the ears as they totally cup the ears, and they aren't that much better sounding. Definitely not enough to warrant the price. I have friends that have also purchased this set and they sound great over Teamspeak or even Steam chat so the mic is of good quality. The only issue I can really think of is that when you use the in-line mute switch, while using Teamspeak, other people on Teamspeak will hear themselves echoing which is annoying for them. It seemed to work fine in Steam chat and other chat applications so this could be some issue with Teamspeak itself and not the headphones.

I read several reviews that conflicted.. One review said the headset was tight, another said it was cushy. Another review would say it blocked out ambient sound, while another said it was not noise-cancelling and allowed in too much ambient sound.

Unless they are shipping different headsets built using different materials each time, then here is my complete review:

1. The ear cushions are soft and made of a velvety like material. I like cloth or velvet because its more comfortable than the leatherette material most headsets are made out of. One would think that it would breathe better than leatherette, but for some reason the earpieces do not breathe very well and they can feel very warm/stagnant after a few hours. It's odd that with the velvette material and the fact that background noise easily invades, that the headsets have this kind of feel. You would assume that the ability to hear background sound, etc would mean lots of breathability (air flow) but it doesn't feel like it.
2. The ear cushions surround your ears, they do not press on the ears directly. The ear cushions are not oversized, and the picture shown here make it look like a typical headset, but they are in fact around-the-ear headsets.
3. The sound is excellent, bass is deep and partly because of the ear-encompassing design, the sound feels more nature and three dimensional.

I'm a relatively large person at 6'3" and assuming my head is not too small, I can assure you that the headset fits all sizes. I did flex the headset to reduce the compression on the ears slightly. Gently flexing the headset worked fine to relieve some of the compression. They are not initially tight, but I like headsets to be loose. Both the top arch and ear pieces have ample cushion, they are very soft. The ear pieces also designed to pivot front or back independent from the headset frame. This can help the headset conform for better comfort and is a nice touch.

Background sound invaded the headsets... I can hear fans and noises outside the room with the headsets on and playing a game. You would think that because the earpieces feel a little stifled, that they would block out more sound than they do. For whatever reason, the ear pieces are cushy and comfortable, less breathable, but do not block out much ambient sound. Please note that they do feel much more breathable than other leatherette headsets I have used, I am simply mentioning the 'warmth' because it is noticable.

The headset is light. The detachable mic is nice, since I do not use it very much. The cord is thin and light, and has a mic on/off switch with a volume adjustment built in. The length of the cord is better than another cheap so called "gaming" headset (plantronics).

Overall it is a great headset, sound and comfort are wonderful. I would recommend them for anyone, except people who need a noise-cancelling headset, since this headset does not really block out ambient sound.

I got this to use on a Mac but it uses one 3.5mm plug for the headphone and another for the mike so I needed to get a USB connector to get it to work on my iMac. But with that said it does deliver great sound, pumps out clear bass. When using as a headphone the mike comes off it. When the mike is on, it tends to look like something NASA would use. For the PC people it is a great headset, Mac people need to get a USB adaptor to use it. But due to the great quality of the sound I am still giving it five stars.

- Exelente calidad de sonido y separación de los mismos. Puedes jugar y tener música al mismo tiempo y puedes distinguir claramente entre la música, el juego y tu amigo hablando por skype o curse voice.
- Buena calidad de micrófono, lo puedes posicionar a diferente distancia de tu boca y tambien se lo puedes quitar a la diadema en caso de que solo utlices los audífonos.
- La diadema es comoda en especial si tienes uan cabeza normal o chica, si tienes una cabeza grande talvez no sea tan comoda.
- La diadema NO es noise cancel pero pareciera que lo es, dado que los colchones quedan muy pegados a tus orejas y no dejan pasar el ruido, tanto asi que a veces no escuchaba cuando me hablaban desde el otro cuarto o el teléfono o el timbre.
- Diseño bonito y atractivo
- Control de volumen sobre el cable de la diadema.

LO MALO
- La presión de los colchones de la diadema es sobre tus orejas, es decir estas no cubren por completo la oreja. esto puede ser algo negativo para algunos dado que no cubre por completo tus orejas pero aun asi encontré que eran muy comodas, tal vez te cansan unpoquito después de jugar 5 o 6 horas seguidas.
- El acabado del producto es bueno pero lo siento un poco frágil. Compre 6 diademas y ninguna se me ha roto por el momento.
- El cable de sonido y micrófono es delgado, por lo cual debes de tener cuidado si eres de esas personas que se mueven mucho por que podrías romperlo de un buen jalon.

He comprado muchas diademas de diferentes rangos de precios y esta es la mejor con las tres B. Buena, bonita y barata, pero ojo, no por eso este es un producto "económico", la verdad es de muy buena calidad, inclusive yo diría que esta muy barato por lo que te dan, si lo comparo con otras diademas que son mas caras y no tienen ni la mitad de cualidades positivas que esta.

Cumplen, por el precio es aceptable, tienen buena calidad audio y transmisión de voz incluso aislan un poco el ruido exterior (poco pero sí es notable). Lo malo es que los materiales de fabricación son muy baratos y al mover ligeramente la cabeza con ellos puestos oirás el crujir de los plásticos moviéndose entre sí. Esto se puede disminuir un poco colocándolos un poco más ajustados pero aún así es bastante molesto este punto.
