The shedding for the 30 was so bad, it became a game between my sister and I to see just how long it would shed its bristles from basic brush strokes (spoilers: it never truly stopped. It was still shedding while I was repackaging it to send back).
Really one one brush in this set is the problem child, which sucks because this is really the only piece dragging down the rest of it. Unfortunately, I can't replace the one brush without replacing the entire set, so if the replacement set comes in with the same issues then my review still stands. For a $31 brush set it could've been a lot worse, but the fact that the rest of the brushes are so nice is what truly makes this so saddening.
ETA the replacement set didn't have any shedding. So most definitely a QA issue.

I brought these hoping the issues with the size 30 shedding was a rarity, but I can tell you now that it sheds more than a sickly cat. I own a few Mimik squirrel brushes (not from this set) and I love them. The ones I have certainly didn't shed this much, so I can't help but wonder if this is just a quality control issue or if this set of Mimiks are fairly old and this problem has been solved in a later iteration. No Shedding!

I needed a nice basic set of watercolor brushes and these surprisingly work very well! I have used them quite a bit already and I haven't seen any shedding which is what I was worried about. So far they have kept their shape well and hold a decent amount of water. I would buy these again!

Disappointed

These brushes are lovely. The bristles are soft and springy, they hold an impressive amount of water, and they come to a sharp point. Sadly, however, the ferrule of the single flat brush arrived dangerously loose and shortly after became detached from the handle. Super bummer. I was able to glue it back, but the quality control here is upsetting.
