--- In this game your elements are animals and "genes", and new breeds are created by adding a trait of one creature to another, for example:
Ant + Rat [Tailed] = Scorpion (an arthropod with a tail) Anchovy + Chicken [Domestic] = Golden Carp (a domestic fish) Golden Carp + Scorpion = ???

I enjoy playing the different alchemy games (alchemy, and all the doodle ones). there are a few aspects that set this one apart from the rest. one of the best being that one the page where you choose what animals you want to attempt to mix on the main page has two sort options: alphabetical or in order of when they were made. this second option makes it soooo much easier to figure out what you have attempted to mix with other animals. at first it was hard to figure out why certain mixes made other animals, but when you look at the info for an animal it lists the attributes of that animal that can be used to mix with others. to make the animal on the games icon (mouse with wings) you would think mix a mouse and any bird. but no-mix a mouse only with a bird with wings listed on it's mixable traits. hope that helps with those having trouble mixing animals or trying to make sense of why some mixes work and others don't. while some alchemy games aren't necessarily appropriate for kids (even some games with a kids rating option in the game have some mixes that shouldn't be there) since this is strictly animals I have no problem letting the younger playing this one. in all I highly recommend this game. definitely fun for all ages.
We like this but the icons area a bit small for the kindle. Love the information one gets if you are connected to wikipedia. Every life form is backed up by a definition on Wikipedia. Very cool game for the whole family. And educational too.
I was just fooling around on this game and accidentally mixed a human with a spider and well, Spiderman! I recommend this for anyone who wants to see what other crazy combination s there are left to see. P.S. Monkey plus beaver equals human, hope this helps!
At first I thought this would be a cheap knock off of Alchemy (heck, it's right in the name) but it actually has it's own twist on the item combining theme. Rather than just randomly tossing objects together and hoping for the right combo, here you actaully are taking a base animal and then looking for another one to donate a genetic trait to create a new creature. This gives you a little more wiggle room since many animals might have the same trait you're looking for and leads to a more thoughtful approach.
The presentation is very good. it has a more inviting and consistent look than Alchemy. it also has few nice features like a "clear all" button, sorting options, and a nice hint button. there is also a chalenge mode that presents small puzzles to solve for short pickup and play time killers.
My only two complaints are that the animal names are VERY badly localized for an American audience. I've never heard half of the names they use for animals that I'm otherwise familiar with. The other issue i run into from time to time is that not all of the animal/trait combinations make since, but this could be a localization issue to with different cultures see animals in different ways.
Glitchy and missing some useful functionality. The combinations you create are meant to be described but on my device (Kindle Fire) they are covered up and so you don't get the information you need to make educated guesses for genetic combinations.
It's fun and interesting, but with the interface issue it isn't as much skill as it seems like was intended and is much more cumbersome and luck oriented.
