And thanks to EAX 5.0 technology, your games will sound more realistic than ever before.
No larger than a typical USB flash drive, The X-Fi Go! Pro can easily slip into your pocket. An ideal companion for any laptop, the Pro manages to be portable without sacrificing sound quality or functionality. The card can also be used with a home desktop for a quick audio upgrade.
SBX Pro Studio Enhanced Sound for Your PC
When you connect the X-Fi Go! Pro to your PC, you'll immediately notice an improvement in audio performance. This USB device also can utilize SBX Pro Studio, a set of proprietary audio technologies designed to enhance audio for today's digital entertainment content. This technology works to expand your PC's audio channels, which allows surround sound content to be reproduced faithfully, making audio more expansive, immersive, and realistic. Even if you're listening through headphones, you'll experience full audio immersion.
In addition, SBX Pro Studio uses a variety of techniques to make your music sound livelier. It restores your music's natural frequency range--something that is often lost when music is compressed into MP3 format. It also fills in low frequencies, which adds a little extra impact to bass. You'll be able to enjoy higher quality audio, even when streaming MP3s from your music library.
3D Headphones Surround Sound
Incredible virtual surround over any headphones for immersive movies and gaming.
The X-Fi Go! Pro includes two convenient 3.5 mm stereo jacks, one input and one output. This allows you to connect the card to any auxiliary device with a 3.5 mm adapter, including microphones, speakers, and headphones.

Top customer reviews
I installed the SB Audigy FX Soundcard first because it came with the installation CD. It was easy and sounded awesome.
When I tried to install the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go!, I had alot of trouble getting the software and applications online, since it does not come with an installation CD, which it should. I don't remember if I was using Windows 7 or Windows XP at the time but getting it to work frustrated me so I put it back in the box and threw it on the shelf and just used the SB Audigy FX. I never bothered to return it.
After I recently had to do a reinstall of Windows 7 on my PC, I plugged the SB X-Fi in again for a second chance. This time, Windows 7 started doing the install and downloading for me. I didn't have to do anything. When it said that all was completed, I set the X-Fi as my default playback and plugged in the headphones to it and this time it worked! It did sound pretty good, better than the preinstalled soundcard that came with my PC. It does work well, but be aware, nothing beats a built in Creative sound card...
The interface is simple and easy to use. The product offers different features such as putting a sound source into places like a concert hall or amphitheater. The product also includes a graphical EQ that can be enhanced to change the sound makeup. Trust me, compared to what I have used before, you would only need to adjust a small bit as this product is super sensitive to adjustments. The product also contains features like bass and treble enhancers that really bring out the clarity of audio like never before. Simply put, this thing makes a pair of $30 value speakers into something more expensive sounding. :Let me put this into perspective, you will want to keep the volume low, its enhanced to the point that one would actually distort sound if they cranked the volume up.
Being a gamer, I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who wants a solution to gaming as this is a 7.1 surround sound product that delivers. I watched several Let's Play videos of several games where the sound could be pinpointed. I even closed my eyes to see if I can find where things were by sound. My test was passed with flying colors.
For around 40 bucks, you can't go wrong with this. I am surprised that I got this kind of quality in this price range. High recommendations from my end.
The sad part is that I've purchased the exact same item a year before. That version came with a CD which included the base software needed to get the included features running (Crystalizer, THX, Creative Entertainment Console, etc.). I believe that version utilized TruStudio Pro. Everything worked flawlessly until the device finally died about a week ago.
Now here I am with a brand new Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go Pro. Same model number as the old one, though: 1290. This version seems to use SBX Pro Studio instead to facilitate the audio enhancements. ...And it happens to not have SBX Pro Studio included in any way, shape, or form for whatever reason. ...Or any software, for that matter. And, as I've mentioned, the instruction booklet redirects me to Creative's Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro support page. After attempting to install the drivers from there... Bam. "Setup is unable to detect a supported device on your system". Cue four hours trying to troubleshoot my way out of this problem, to no avail.
Now don't get me wrong. It does work...in the sense that sound comes out when I connect my headphones and start playing music. Which is why this isn't a 1-star review. But seeing as without the software, the sound quality doesn't change at all, I'm basically rocking an inch-long extension for my headphone cables. Not something that I'd recommend paying 29.99 USD for.
