Top Customer Reviews
This big box of 150 stems comes with plenty of them to make all of the things included in the handy-dandy pamphlet of instructions... an elephant (requires 6), inch worm (requires 12), picture frame (requires 16), snowman (requires 10-1/2), tree (requires 9), horse (requires 8), rocket (requires 9), ladybug (requires 3) - even a mobile (requires 40 and some thin fishing line)! The only other things needed are a pair of scissors and a black marker. I'm sure we'll try 'em all, but you know what? I think the best thing to do when you hand a child something like this is to just allow their own creative juices to flow.
There aren't many occasions when we have just one of our three grandsons with us, but we always make special one-on-one birthday time with them - although I know he's looking forward to his dinner out with Grandma and Grandpa and our visit to the zoo, and that he'll enjoy his toys, I really believe the few low cost, non-frills, creativity-oriented items will probably be his favorites. We'll just treasure our time with him, knowing that we'll do no more than blink before ten years pass and he'll be driving somewhere to meet his friends rather than spending the night with us! And that's how it should be... but we're going to savor every moment of these times when he "can't wait!" to be with his ol' granny and gramps!
