"In an age when subjectivism trumps all, Scott Hahn's latest book, which emphasizes the objectivity of Christian doctrine, is a bracing tonic. The leitmotif of this work is that we don't make the creeds; rather, the creeds make us. Further, Dr. Hahn's exploration of the meaning of the Nicene Creed provides a splendid introduction to the basics of Christian faith."
—Most Rev. Robert E. Barron, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Founder of Word On Fire, and Host of the Catholicism series
"A profoundly enjoyable presentation of the history and content of the 'rule of faith' that is making us into faithful children of a loving Father."
—Marcus Grodi, Founder of the Coming Home Network International and host of EWTN's The Journey Home
"Scott Hahn is one of the most effective teachers of Catholicism today. As Dr. Hahn states, 'If we don't get the creed right, we don't get Jesus right.' This masterful book enables us to do just that."
—Fr. Peter John Cameron, O.P., Author and Editor of The Magnificat
"With his usual clarity and engaging prose, Dr. Hahn takes the reader inside and behind the words of the creed that are familiar to every Catholic. In so doing he reintroduces the creed as much more than a summary of doctrines. The creed, in fact, makes us to be persons of faith and a community of faith."
—Most Rev. Michael J. Sheridan, Bishop of Colorado Springs
"The ancient word for 'creed' is 'symbol,' literally the 'throwing together' of the Church's central teachings. In this way, Dr. Hahn's writings have been a living symbol of faith for a new generation of Christians: bringing together his love of Scripture with his confessed need for the Sacraments, his evangelical zeal for souls today with his understanding that we must all remain rooted in Tradition. Hahn's latest book on the creed provides all these elements and will lead readers to a deeper love of Jesus Christ and his Christian people."
—Fr. David Meconi, SJ, Professor of Historical Theology, Saint Louis University and Editor, Homiletic and Pastoral Review
"Scott Hahn has written so many important volumes that readers may think they don't need to read this new one. Please do not make that mistake. Everyone who is a Christian or who is wondering about Christianity needs this brilliant book."
—Matthew Levering, The James N. and Mary D. Perry, Jr. Chair of Theology, Mundelein Seminary

to the Church in writing this book. My only complaint is the price. It should be made available in paperback at
around $6. in bulk so that we and the churches can buy many copies and give them to people to read.
Dr. Hahn has written a book that is easy to read by anyone, and is so thorough in its analysis, that anyone will come away from reading this book with a deeper understanding of their faith.
I have both the Kindle & the audible of this book and used them together so all unfamiliar words were pronounced for me. It met me where I was at and gave me the information I was needing and seeking.
From the opening to the last appendix, this book is a treasure.
I’m thankful that the Covid Pandemic afforded me the time & attention to this. Thank you to Scott Hahn for writing.
