Glow in the Dark Smile! Stopped/decreased sensitivity as well

This is my third time buying this. First off, great product! I usually use 10 treatments every 4 months (because Crest states the max is 40 treatments in 12 months). Spacing it out has done wonders. It usually take me 5 treatments before I start seeing immediate results. I used to be so embarrassed to wear a white shirt or I would wear one but not smile as much to avoid the huge contrast. I also figured out ways to combat sensitivity.

First, realized I shouldnt brush my teeth at least 3 hours before using the whitestrips. It's actually best to use (IMO) if you don't brush your teeth at all in the evening/night. So the nights I used it, I only brushed my teeth at breakfast and sometimes lunch. Second, I gargled with hydrogen peroxide routinely and this helped with sensitivity and increased whiteness. Third. I noticed the height of my bottom row is short in comparison to the top. When the strips laid on my gums, it would cause a negative reaction... almost like a dull aching pain/soreness. So before I put on the strips, I used scissors to carefully trim the top of the strip off. This allowed the strip to stay ONLY on my teeth and not rest on my gums.

It's amazing how many people positively comment on my teeth. I think everyone's so used to dingy white and/or yellow teeth that white teeth truly stands out! I have gone to cosmic bowling, glow in the dark golf facilities, as well as other low/special lit events and I've had strangers comment on how white or "nice" my teeth look. Mind you, my teeth have shifted from not using my retainers much so I knew they mustve been talking about the whiteness of my teeth. It's great to stand out this way. It definitely boosted my confidence and now I'm hooked to these strips!

I have at least two youtube videos (look up Naturallyjoli) describing my day by day experience with my first treatment as well as a detailed teeth hygiene regimen for those that want more details before committing. I rarely drink colorful drinks (from time to time I may sip wine or juice). The drinks never stained my teeth longer than a minute or so. Actually, my lipstick stains my teeth more than drinks and it's not a permanent stain (I'll lick it off and it's gone). I was so hesitant to use this product before (I kept reading reviews and it scared me). But I am happy I finally gave in. Now it's been a full 12 months since I started and I felt this was the perfect time to give a review. I look forward to seeing how much more white my teeth can look!

Not the most fun experience, but these work

I'm a big time coffee and tea drinker, so my teeth were stained a little yellow but nothing too bad. I decided to give these a try not expecting results, but was pleasantly surprised at their efficacy after 5 applications. The price is pretty steep but you do get 20 strips, so if you don't need them all you can share or stash them for later use.

A few observations from my experience using these strips: it helps to dry your teeth with a paper towel before applying. When applying, make sure you cover the very base of the tooth so the whole tooth is whitened, and press the strip firmly to the tooth, using your fingernail to press in between teeth. These will likely make you salivate a lot; it's ok to swallow though it's gross and bleach-y tasting. I found subsequent applications did not make me salivate as much. The formula will kind of foam up under the strip and feel like it's going to come loose but it won't. When I remove these I always have some white splotches on my teeth - I panicked at first, but the splotches disappeared overnight (a good idea to do these before bed instead of right before an interview, say). I read this is due to the tooth drying out, but as it rehydrates the splotches will dissipate. I used these every other day and my teeth only felt a little sensitive after one of the applications. My teeth ended up lighening about 2-3 shades after 5 applications, and I'm happy with that.

These strips are kind of a pain in the neck, but for getting results after wearing them 5 times for 30 minutes apiece, I'm willing to suffer.

I use crest white strips once per year. These are by far my favorite out of even the more expensive ones. Last year I did the $60-$70 dollar strips thinking they would work the best and for some reason these less expensive strips have always worked the best for me! A few years ago I used these exact ones and got these amazing results the same as this time. Top pic is before (red wine drinker), the middle is after the times using them, bottom is half way through (cut out red wine as well). These results don't lie. Get these you will not be sorry. I don't brush my teeth first FYI, too much sensitivity. And I leave them on 35-40 min each time.

Haven't used these for probably 10 years but was noticing my teeth weren't as white as they used to be. They still work like a charm but stick a lot harder to your teeth now! Top is before pic, bottom is after. Taken in the same light. Definitely a noticeable difference!

I have to agree with the other reviewers here; I've used these for years and they've done wonders but this latest batch have proven useless. I'll try one more order and post an update definitively stating whether the last batch was a bad one or Crest has changed their formula, rendering them useless. Stay tuned.

Good whitening. Possible Pain.

They do whiten but I experience extreme tooth sensitivity when using them. This is not different than with any other whitening treatment but do avoid if you aren't prepared for a bit of serious discomfort. This discomfort can be mitigated by using a fluoride mouthwash (I use and am happy with Act) every morning and evening surrounding the whitening treatments as well as avoiding anything acidic for several hours after the treatment. I've also noticed that it helps if you don't brush your teeth immediately before.
