I am a self proclaimed coffee aficionado and connoisseur. I would rather pluck my own eyeballs out than give up my coffee.
Unfortunately coffee causes staining, obviously. And I've been drinking it since the tender age of 18 and I'm 31 now. So that's over a decade of stains. I had started to become so self conscious of my stained teeth that I stopped fully smiling in photos, and as much as my dentist offered whitening to me, I gagged at the price tag.
I actually bought these totally on impulse, I needed to up my cart price to get free shipping and these popped up so I thought hey why not. Here's me totally honest review. TLDR: I'm very happy with my results and would use them again.
Pros: Easy to use, very noticeable results for even over a decade of daily coffee habit stains. Very discreet, I'd even go grocery shopping in them sometimes. Very little sensitivity - I had a little bit but it wasn't too bad, and it it went away after just three days of my final treatment.
Cons: My mouth did not enjoy the foreign invader on my teeth and decided that hyper-salivating the SECOND these went in my mouth was an apt way to fight them off. So just be aware that that might happen to you. For the first five minutes or so I would just stand over the sink and spit into it as my body freaked out, but after awhile things normalized and I could go back to working or watching TV or whatever I chose to do while whitening. ALSO, these DO leave a sticky residue on your teeth sometimes. I would just take my toothbrush with no toothpaste and *gently* scrub away the residue. So just keep that in mind!
But I think one of the biggest things I loved about these is how instant the results were. After just two to three treatments, I noticed a huge difference. I did kind of reach a plateau halfway through though - it's like my teeth hit a certain threshold and wouldn't whiten past a certain point. But I'm okay with that given this is an at home, not professional treatment and that I still keep up my coffee habit. So that is a thing that I need to factor in.
All in all - I am so I glad I bought these. I no longer feel self conscious when I smile, and while my teeth aren't as white as I truly wished, they're at a point where I am very happy to be fully smiling again, and that's all that matters.
