Product Description

Crafted from durable beech, the Revolution wood scraping spoon features an elliptical easy-grip handle. The blunt end is perfect for scraping browned ingredients from the bottom of the pan, making it particularly useful when making gravy or sautéing onions. The natural softness of wood makes this spoon ideal for nonstick surfaces or other delicate cooking materials that are easily scratched by sharper utensils.

Great spoon, very comfortable in the hand and has a good sharp edge that makes it easy to scrape up fond. Bought it on J. Kenji Lopez-Alt's suggestion.

Definitely not worth the price though. Not sure what I was thinking when I bought it. I have scrapers/spoons that I like nearly as much for about a 1/4th of the cost. Save your money.

Great for deglazing and stirring, not so great for tasting (the spoon isn't quite convex enough for that). Very well made, feels great in the hand. You must heed Le Creuset's instructions to dry immediately after washing. It's not treated with any oil so wood is porous. Well cared-for, though, this is a winning tool for home use.

I go back and forth in my mind over spatulas. Well, I cook a lot and am as fussy about my kit as a trout fisherman is about his hobby. I have purchased and used plenty of higher-end nylon spatulas but they don't work very well for scraping as they are made to flex. I don't like synthetic non-stick pans; yet I don't want to scratch the enamel on my Le Creuset lined cast iron 'treasures.' This beechwood item is just the thing (and bamboo would work as well.) This is a hefty product in the sense that the handle fills the hand and is strong...but it is also light and well-balanced. It has been working fine for a month or so at scraping my pans. Okay...I LOVE this. You may find that the wood is 'harsh' to the touch. I oil my 'treen' (wood implements; bowls; whatnot) regularly and never run them through the dish washer or use harsh detergents. If you do as I do, you will also find this tool to be a comfortable and faithful friend. The scraping edge is holding up well and I find its functionality and lifespan exceeds nylon products.

Our wooden flat spoon was getting very old and worn out. Researched Amazon's choices and picked this one. We both love the strong handle and the scraping edge works perfectly! Nicely designed too! We use it several times a week and it looks great hanging on our utensil hanger.

Le Creuset makes amazing cast iron, but I normally wouldn't pay extra to have a brand-stamped French spoon just to make my home kitchen feel like a Williams-Sonoma ad. (It's like paying for All-Clad accessories...does a tri-ply ladle REALLY help you make better food, or would a $7 aluminum model do the job?)

I read Kenji's review of this thing on SE, eventually pulled the trigger and bought it, and discovered he was absolutely right. This spoon is the best designed tool in my kitchen arsenal now...great for both stirring thick stews and scraping up bits of fond from the corners with a perfectly angled scraping edge, deep enough for shallow ladling, and quite comfortable in your hand..and of course, it's safe for my Le Creuset enameled dutch oven. I've now discarded my other wooden utensils. I'll probably get the hybrid silicone version of this sometime soon, as well. So...I guess the stamp and the price really do carry greater value in this case.

My new favorite spoon for cooking almost anything. It scrapes really well, and works great for gravy and sauces.

The only downside is it slopes a little so it can be hard to serve or pick up food with it. But still, 5 stars!

Purchased for my wife. She loves the contour of the handle and being able to differentiate the position of the spoon by feel.

The handle does seem too long for her but she figures she'll either adjust or cut it.
