Scoot and Scuttle.
The Cub Balance Bike doesn’t have pedals. Tiny riders move forward with their feet. This approach makes getting on a bike less scary and ultimately sets them up for an easier transition to a big kid bike. If anyone can make Fred Flinstone-ing cute, it’s your kid.

Boo-boo bunny is about to go on sabbatical
A bike without pedals? You might be asking, 'What is this nonsense?' But where there are no pedals, there are fewer scratches, minimal speed, fewer falls, and better balance. Rest assured knowing your tiny tyke is riding around elated and better protected against the usual lineup of bumps and owies.
Why is a balance bike better?
When a tiny rider is riding the Cub balance bike, feet are always on the ground. Because there are no pedals, kids scoot themselves along, constantly balancing on their legs. This prevents them from gaining too much speed, which can lead to out of control rides and falling down injuries.
Kids can ride more intuitively on this bike, developing balance and coordination. When it comes time to transition to a two-wheeled bicycle with pedals, balance bikers ride better, faster, and are more secure.
The Cub balance bike requires minimal assembly and basically no maintenance. The high-tensile strength steel frame and fork are virtually indestructible. The tires are unpoppable. The handles and seat post are adjustable. No pedals and no brake mean no upkeep.
Grows with your tiny rider
The Cub balance bike has adjustable seat and handlebars for a custom fit. Extend the seat post and stem as needed to accommodate your growing kiddo.
The high-tensile strength steel frame is lightweight and virtually indestructible. The step-thru shape makes it easy for little kids to get on and off the bike.
A push bike inspires confidence and teaches the fundamentals of balance. It also strengthens muscles to lean, steer, move, and walk.
The Kids are in Control
This balance bike is appropriate for children aged 20 months to 5 years old. It is low to the floor, so kids can stop as soon as they’re uncomfortable.
We put in as much care and consideration into this mini-me bike as we put into our grown-up bikes. The Cub is durable, more stable, and less likely to tip over.

If you are considering buying this bike, ...get it. It is very durable, and the seat and handlebars are adjustable. I would say the size is appropriate for 2-3 year olds.
Taking the bike out of the box and examining it, it seemed like pretty solid quality. Assembling it led to my first knock: the seat post and handlebar stem both have quick-releases on them (one of the pluses that led us to choose this bike), however, I cannot for the life of me get the seat post release tight enough to keep the seat from moving back and forth to a not-unnoticeable degree. Then, I noticed that the finish on the handlebar had a significant ding in it---the finish appears to be "painted" on (understandable...you're not going to get actual chrome at this price), and a little chunk had come off. Likely this will lead pretty quickly to rust.
Otherwise, it does seem like a good value. We saw similar bikes (with similar features) at three times the price so, for now, we can't complain too much. And really, a kid's only going to use a balance bike for a pretty short time, most likely, so it doesn't exactly have to be heirloom quality.
I'm going to see if I can't get the seat post quick release to clamp down better, and if so, I will update my review.
