5.0 out of 5 stars If you like amigurumi, you NEED this book!
By Katherine K. on July 22, 2020
The first thing I ever crocheted was a little donut, so maybe that's where my love of crocheted food comes from. This book has the most creative crocheted food items I've ever seen! The patterns are well written, with plenty of pictures of the stages so you can clearly see that you're going in the right direction. It's great for beginners with plenty of instructions and photos of the basics you need to make everything, so even if you don't know how to crochet, you can learn how with this book. If I could time-travel, I'd bring this book to myself when my daughter was a toddler so I could make all the food for her play kitchen! If you only buy one book of crochet patterns this year, make it this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is Lauren's Best Book Yet!
By Erik Dalager on July 24, 2020
I have loved Lauren Espy's previous book, Whimsical Stitches (which you should get right now too) for over a year. Her patterns are firstly, adorable, but she has extremely good instructions - even for beginners! Crochet Cafe takes it to the next level and introduces SO many cute patterns, and yet, all still so beginner friendly! It has MANY pages on techniques (with pictures!) to constantly reference if you need while crocheting. All of the designs are laid out in perfect order (my favorite so far has been desserts!). Clear, concise, easy to follow and read. Your creations come out looking just like her pictures. Definitely follow her on instagram too, @amenagerieofstitches where she shares tons of her creations!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love crocheting and love food, you'll love this book!
By Sabrina C. on July 27, 2020
Like so many other reviewers, I couldn't wait to start working on the project in this book! I have only made a couple items so far but I have found the patterns written very well and were easy to understand. I liked her little tips throughout the book - like warning readers not too overstuff (!! that is something I always do!) There were so many different fun sections - breakfast, lunch, dinner and yummy snacks! It's going to take me a awhile to crochet through the book but super excited to do so!

5.0 out of 5 stars Imaginative Menu and Engaging Projects
By A Namyst on August 5, 2020
Beautiful photos, fantastic layout and imaginative menu! Instructions are clear and well written; both suitable for novice crocheters (with a section in the beginning to help them find their footing) and engaging for more experienced crocheters.

I'm working up the patterns as fast as I can, because my kids want one of everything. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars More Than I Expected
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 17, 2021
Due to the lack of photos I wasn't sure what to expect but the reviews were good. I decided to take a punt on it and it was a lot heavier and thicker than I thought it would be. The designs are super cute and I can see me working my way through them all.

The patterns are explained really clearly and have lots of images to help. I haven't been crocheting for very long and I still struggle with patterns but this book is brilliant.
