Desktop Dining Just Got Better
Hot, homemade meals away from home? No problem. With the Crock-Pot Lunch Crock food warmer, easily make lunchtime more leisurely--and delicious. Enjoy a bit of home away from home with hot lunches made to order.
The portable unit comes with a cordless caddy--complete with an integrated loop carry handle and available in a variety of stylish colors--with the convenience of a slow-heating food warmer. The food warmer offers a nice alternative to common lunchtime pitfalls like pricey take-out, crowded cafeterias, or skipping lunch all together. With the portable Lunch Crock food warmer, you can stay focused and motivated at work, knowing that a warm, mouth-watering meal soon awaits you.
The Lunch Crock food warmer offers a convenient 24-ounce capacity--perfect for one-person lunches. Fill the container with your favorite foods, anything from canned or homemade soup to savory stew, oodles of noodles, or last-night's leftovers. Food slowly heats while you're working, so it's ready to enjoy when it's time for that much-needed break in your day. The food warmer also comes in handy for warming oatmeal, scrambled eggs, or even a small stack of pancakes for a late, leisurely breakfast at your desk, whether at a home office or corporate headquarters.
Community microwaves are often crowded and are usually covered in messy splats and splatters, not to mention lingering odors from the heated meal ahead of yours. With the Lunch Crock food warmer, enjoy an overall more appetizing experience. Bon appetite.
Versatile--From Party Dips to Dorm Rooms
The 24-ounce portable food warmer can also be used for cheese dip, artichoke dip, and other appetizers, keeping them perfectly warm and easy to serve--a nice choice when hosting family for the holidays or having friends over for game day. The food warmer also comes in handy in a dorm room, offering a great way to warm up canned soup or mom's yummy leftovers from a weekend visit back home.
Convenience is Key
To use, simply fill the inner container with food and secure the air-tight lid. Insert the food warmer into its cordless caddy, screw on the outside lid, and head out the door for take-anywhere meals on the go. Filling and refrigerating the inner container the night before allows for time-saving convenience the next morning.
You can choose to leave your caddy and electric base at work and bring the filled container with you. Or, use the caddy with its screw-on travel lid to transport the filled container; then just dock the caddy to the electric warming base when you are ready to start heating your food. Either way, it's an easy, convenient way to turn work space into lunch space.
The food warmer also provides an On/Off toggle switch, a power indicator light, a vented lid that allows air to flow properly, and a manual cord wrap on the warming base. Best of all, the removable inner container cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher, so it's always ready to go.

I have had it a week, used it every day, and will continue to use it every day. I leave the plug-in base on my desk (right next to my phone and my computer - no big deal) and carry the bucket portion and inner liner to and from work. So far, I have used it to warm refrigerated homemade soups, refrigerated leftover parmesan chicken and noodles, and off the shelf canned soups. I attach the bucket to the base at 9 am, flip the switch on, and then eat when I can, between 11:30 am and 1 pm. The food has been piping hot every time. The soups are a little too hot to eat, needing a few minutes to cool down - just like serving them from a pot at home. The aroma from the pot during the heat time is minimal, almost non-existent, even when seated next to it (though realistically, this would depend on what was heating – just like using the microwave can sometimes flood the building with aroma). It is a nice looking little warmer and is well made, carries the Crock-Pot name and reputation. Directions for use are clear.
The liner is a generous serving size (24 oz) and is more than enough for lunch. The inner liner gets hot, so you eat from the bucket, rather than removing the liner. It is light weight and easy to hold. I remove it from the base and sit it next to me on my desk. It is easy to lift, and is very convenient. The interior liner lid is a little tricky to remove because it fits so tightly and seals very well. It has a ring to lift when removing it, but it is really snug – snug and secure enough that the entire inner liner rises up when you grip the ring to lift the lid. I use the edge of my spoon hold the liner in place and to very lightly give the lid a gentle pry to separate it from the liner when I open it to eat. I don't think the food would spill or splash, but it is quite hot and I don't want to take the chance. And of course, I want to eat my food, not clean it up from my desk, clothing or floor.
I believe this is the second generation of the Lunch Warmer. I ordered it in February, with the understanding that Amazon was unavailable to ship it until mid May, but it was actually delivered at the beginning of March. I haven’t seen this one yet in stores. I compared the two versions, based on seeing the original, and reading about the improvements made in this model. I decided it would be worth the wait. The price of the other (model 200) ranged from $16 to $33, online and locally, different colors are actually different prices. This model (240) was a little more expensive, but I think it is a very good value. There is the ease of detaching the base and cord and leaving them in one place. The liner is 4 oz. larger, so you can fill it 20-22 oz. and still have a comfortable gap to prevent spillage upon opening. I like the dark color of the bucket. The older style is sold with a white base with a dark lid/handle, and other attractive, trendy colors, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the pricing of them. All of the colors of this model are attractive and seem to be running the same price, at least for now.
If I was designing the third generation, I would probably redesign the outer lid to make it easier to grasp. I might change the inner liner to make it feel more stable when opening it after the food is hot – minor things that aren’t game changers. I would absolutely market the liner and inner lid for aftermarket purchases. Everyone would like an extra or two on the shelf ready to use.
No doubt about it, this is a GREAT little pot!!! I highly recommend it!
This is my second crock-pot; I also purchased the earlier model (3 times and gave them as gifts to people I love). My basic problem with the earlier model was the cord. I purchased this model because the pot and base were separate and that would eliminate the cord issue. HOWEVER, although I like this pot, the seal is not tight and it leaks if the pot falls on its side (which it often does in my lunch bag in my car). Frustrating, but not so much that I will give it 3 stars. I do feel that this crock pot keeps my food warmer longer while I eat at my desk and that earns a star for sure.
Pros: warms quickly, keeps food warmer, no frustrating cord to keep rewinding, the purple is BEAUTIFUL.
Cons: The inner lid does not fit tightly and will leak. BIG con but not enough to be a deal breaker for me.
UPDATE: After working with this, I figured out how to stop those leaks of liquid (from soups, etc). After putting the lid on the liner, it needs to be "burped". There is a vent hole and so pressing down on the top a few times to expel the air causes a suction to prevent spillage. It also prevents the top from popping up as the food heats up. So now…. 5 stars!
