Other than that, my boyfriend did not have any other issues with these crocs besides the fact that they're a little sweatier than the normal ones but that's to be expected since they have less ventilation.
They are definitely stylish and go good with a variety of different outfits, would recommend!
I got tired of having the chafe at my ankle and I had already kept the shoes too long to return them, so I took a utility knife to the sides just below where the side laces run, cutting them down. The resultant cut line came out clean and the shoe looks just fine. No one notices the change unless I point it out. Now the shoes are much better. I simply re-routed the laces at the tongue to suit. Go ahead and hack your Crocs! It's worth it!
However, because it's full rubber, the sweat from your feet stays on your feet. It kinda stinks up. I will constantly remove my feet from the shoe for some circulation. Seems like the rubber doesn't allow your feet to breathe much. The whiles at the sides doesn't seem to help much, either. The shoe laces tend to undo themselves. I've also gotten blisters on my ankle when they were new.
Nonetheless, they still look decent and can be worn to most casual occasions while being 'waterproof'.
1- Fits Perfect! I only got a half size larger than what I usually wear (11 instead of 10.5)
2- Very soft walking experience on hard surfaces, yet very rugged to be used in sand, on broken shells or pebbles.
3- Great in the water and on the beach, doesn't let your fit sit in soggy leather like regular boat shoes.
4- Goes well with pants or shorts
5- 5 stars for the seller too: very quick delivery!
1- I would have preferred that Crocs had made the tongue of the same plastic material like the rest of the shoe instead of fabric. The fabric, at the stitching, pricks the top of my foot when I walk. It's not a major discomfort, but a small annoyance I'd rather not have. My solution... a few dabs of silicon/paper liquid glue to the troublesome areas covered the sharp edges.
In summary: Highly recommended.
