Very thin shoe material

The good:
* The shoe is very comfortable
* Fits as expected
* Heel will work "up" as a loafer, or "down" as a sandal and be comfortable

The bad:
* My gut reaction (which I'm having trouble getting over) was that this was way over priced for the material in the shoe. If I had tried it on at a store, I would not have been able to convince myself to buy, no matter how comfortable and would have gone with flip-flops. Its not so bad that I'll return them. I may update this later if they stand the test of time but I feel the material is so thin, it wont last.

Update: Since purchasing, the price has dropped, I would gladly pay the current price for these shoes. They work well in a casual office.

I wear this type of shoe a lot during the summer, so much that they wear out and/or stink (even with "no show" socks), so they're replaced annually. This is my first pair of Crocs, and while they're a little big, they're very comfortable. The style is better than the traditional Crocs, which I find hideous.

Reviews seem to be inconsistent but in my experience, the sizing of these shoes is consistent with regular Crocs clogs, which run about a full size larger than "regular" shoes. I wear 11 1/2 - 12 shoes and have semi-wide feet. I ordered a 12 originally and they were enormous. I re-orderd in size 11 and they fit my size 11 1/2 - 12 perfectly (plenty of length and width. They are VERY lightweight and comfortable. I ordered them in the espresso color linen material and they look great = perfect for casual "beach-type" wear.

The look of the shoe is pretty nice. I find Crocs to be the ugliest shoe ever created but this one doesn't look like your regular Crocs. My main issue is the plasticky feeling sole with the little bumps on it. Those are uncomfortable to me. I put in a padded insert sole on top of it and they are now comfortable enough for me. The material may be a bit thin for some which brings up durability questions, but for the price it's no big deal. I just see these as casual summer shoes to wear with shorts. Something a bit nicer than sandals or flipflops but not as dressy as boat shoes or leather loafers.

I still think the original crocs from 15 years ago have the best arch support but these are better than alot of shoes advertised to help with planar fasciitis pain. I bought tan and this grayish color so I have summer and winter covered. I have wide feet and these fit snuggly. Hopefully they last.

Linen material, not the normal canvas...

These shoes are fine, the upper material is not the normal canvas. It is just like the description says... linen. So, for me, it allows my heal to slip a little more than I am accustomed. This is probably my fifth pair of Crocs Santa Cruz, just the first time for this upper material. Still a very comfortable slip on shoe.

An 11 is his usual size and it was too small so we returnedthem for a 12 which were too big. Inserts solved the problem and he is now happy. Great shoe.
