This binocular harness is by far the best available on the market today, proven by all the high reviews for the Crooked Horn harness. I've been a birder for over 25 years and have been involved with avian research since 1991. I can honestly say that this harness is the most dependable and truly functional harness that I have found. I have no connections to Crooked Horn, but I feel they deserve an honest review from a professional field biologist who uses such a harness on a regular basis. I even bought one for my fiancee, and she absoultely loves it (we all know how difficult it is for a woman to find a comfortable binocular harness). The only caution I would make is regarding the use of the metal rings that attach to the binoculars. These metal rings COULD rust and wear into the binocular body over time, causing minor aesthetic damage. My fiancee has her harness attached this way, and after a few years of use there still isn't any sign of damage. Anyway, using just the zip ties is more than adequate if you don't want to risk any damage. Just make sure you check the tightness of the zip ties from time-to-time, but the chances of both ties failing at the same time is very slim.

If you're tried of binoculars swinging from your neck AND your aching after a while these are for you! I prefer to wear them under my heavy coats in the winter. So I have to remember to put them on first. This way I have MORE protection for my expensive binoculars. These are cost effective enough that I have one on each of my binoculars. The quality is great.

Lots of these floating around but I like the leather embellishment and I had seen this brand on a fellow archery club member.

Elastic bands secure the binos close to the body. I use this for archery and is very snug and comfortable for trail walking.
