In Agatha Christie’s most twisted tale, the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a wealthy patriarch is investigated by spy-turned-private-detective Charles Hayward (Max Irons), who is lured by his former lover to catch her grandfather's murderer before Scotland Yard exposes dark family secrets. On the sprawling estate, amidst a poisonous atmosphere of bitterness, resentment and jealousy in a truly crooked house, Hayward encounters three generations of the dynasty, including a theater actress (Gillian Anderson), the old man's widow 50 years his junior (Christina Hendricks), and the family matriarch Lady Edith de Haviland (Glenn Close).

I have read almost every book Agatha Christie wrote, but I will admit I had not read "Crooked House" nor have I seen other versions. But my guess is that this is pretty close to the book. Worth the money.
Julian Fellows, and very fine production values. We watch any and all Agatha Christie films and TV shows, and found this one to be excellent especially as it has rarely been done, unlike some of her other books, which have had numerous productions.. You're in for a treat.
I bought "Crooked House" on BluRay. The Amazon website said that it had subtitles in many different languages, among them Polish, but it didn't say that it also had more than just a few audio versions - which it does as I found out when I got it. Funny thing, though, because even on the cover there are just 3 different audio versions and subtitles mentioned and Polish is not one of them.
I've seen a few Christie movies and only read a few books so far. I'm not a fan of the Poirot character, but Marple is okay. I actually prefer the stories in which neither appears, or Marple appears very little. This is one of those stories.
