With amenities like that you don't have to sacrifice any of your vinyl listening pleasure. Experience the soft crackle as you gently lay the needle down on your favorite vinyl that's been buried in the attic for decades. It may be mini, but it packs a big punch.
Today the Crosley name lives on with superbly detailed replicas that truly transcend time. True to the Crosley tradition, this replica is as fabulous as it is functional, providing a delightful dose of nostalgia--a portable turntable that looks like a retro suitcase from travel's glamour days. The vinyl-wrapped units, available in brown, tweed and black, offer the rare luxury to simply snap the lid closed, grab the handle, and go. Easily unhinge the top portion to keep the turntable perched on your desk or table for longtime listening.
This Crosley Mini-Turntable brings the same great technology and design that larger turntables and entertainment centers encompass, but scaled to a petite size. This Mini Turntable features classic styling with handsome hardwoods and veneer housing and technology that proves its authenticity as a Crosley.
Crosley's timeless turntables shatter preconceived notions of creaky, dusty record players from years past. Today's units pump more features than grandma could ever have dreamed of, while still preserving their retro-chic quality.
With a turntable in your hands, you can revisit favorite memories or enjoy making new ones. Savor the vinyl leaving the decorative jacket. The needle hitting the record. The warm, melodic sound of your favorite artist.
Music mavens will marvel at Crosley turntables that also feature goodies like CD recorders, cassette decks, radios, USB ports and auxiliary inputs and outputs.

Anyway, I ended up returning this one and got a fancier, a little more expensive Audio Technica turntable. I prefer a more retro-looking and portable one like this Crosley mini, but I realize I can't have both the look that I like AND function (although the AT one is a nice looking turntable, it's just very modern and it makes feel like I'm secretly d-jaying at nights or something; I figure, though, that AT and Crosley will appeal to two different groups of people). Btw, I got it from "retrowonders" and I thought they were really cool about the whole return process-- very prompt and no pain in the process (I had to pay for shipping to return it, though).Read more ›
• small size
• great retro look
• fairly lightweight
• portable with handles
• RCA output
• good sound
• just works. Plug in the power, turn up the knob and you're in business. Setup couldn't be easier.
• you have to take the cover off completely in order to fit larger records onto the turntable if there is a wall behind it and the cover doesn't have room to go back all the way
• could be louder - but it has the RCA output so that's not a terrible issue
• you also have to pull up the arm holster and store it every time you want to put the cover back on. I feel lazy even listing this...
I don't think this would be a #1 choice for an audiophile, since it doesn't have a lot of features, doesn't get too loud on its own, and I'm sure the sound quality could be better. For a casual listener like me, it's the bee's knees!
I recently received this item as a gift and was seriously disappointed with the performance. The arm is one solid piece of plastic that instead of moving vertically with the record's shape, digs into in as it spins. Not only is the arm very unforgiving of even the most minor rises in the vinyl, the needle couldn't even reach the surface of my colored vinyl or 180 gram records. I tried to fiddle with the unit but there is no way to adjust the arm and raise/lower the needle. The turntable worked with some albums that were older and in perfect condition, but it was ill-equipped to handle the vast majority of the albums I ran through it.
The sound was "OK" but I didn't expect much from the small speakers. I would say that I was neither impressed nor disappointed with the sound that the player itself produced. One reviewer describes the sound as "better than my speaker system" and I find that very hard to believe.
I recommend passing this turntable up, as the quality of the equipment is so poor as to render it useless. I was enticed by the price tag but I have since returned the unit to Amazon in favor of a turntable with the capabilities to play my entire collection of albums.

They sent one, which tone arm was not functional (it would not lift enough to set on record). I returned that for another. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Mimi
