The seals on this gun were very dry when I got it. I had to apply Pelgun oil several times to get the pellet velocity up to an acceptable level. They claim up to 725 feet per second with lead pellets but I just barely broke 700 fps just after oiling it. It looks like it is an upper 600fps gun. This is the most powerful Multi pump gun that Crosman makes. Better than the M4-177 and the MK-177. Aside from the M4 and MK, this is the only Multi Pump gun that Crosman makes with a Rifled Steel Barrel. This plus the lack of recoil makes this gun very accurate. Mine shot the Crosman 7.9 grain Premier Hollow Points very accurately at 12 yards. It's hard to get the pellets to lay properly in the breech so I used a tooth pick to get them straight. I prefer the 5 shot pellet clips used on the M4 and MK-177's. This gun cocks hard and I believe that is because of the stiff trigger. Someone in their early teens would have difficulty cocking the bolt. I dropped some synthetic gun oil down into the trigger and around the slide action of the bolt and worked it in good. This made the bolt a little easier to cock. It was kind of grindy and crunchy before that. 5 to 6 pumps is all you need for target practice. The last couple of pumps are very hard when pumping it 10 times. I would only pump it that many times for taking out small prey. I'm sure that things will smooth out more with some use.

Great gun. The other reviews pretty much said it all, but I found the bolt a little bit difficult to pull back, so make sure that you hear the click before you push forewards. I didn't do this at first, and I spent over an hour trying to figure this out. Otherwise, fantastic gun and fun to shoot.

This Airgun originally designed in the 1970s still fills a unique niche in the market. A notably stronger gun than it's price contemporaries approaching the much more expensive American multi-pump guns by Benjamin and Sheridan it has been eclipsed by European single stroke guns but is still fun, reliable and reasonably accurate and powerful with nothing in its price point that competes. I've read several harsh reviews by people who clearly expected $150.00+ performance from a gun half the price. You get what you pay for and for the money this gun performs admirably. You can get more gun but you'll pay accordingly.

Bought this to replace a Winchester brand pellet gun that finally gave out after several years of pretty heavy use. This gun is almost identical to the old gun so I think it will hold up well. I also bought a tube of the Crosman pellet gun oil which I applied when I received the new gun. The bolt on this gun is EXTREMELY hard to pull back to load a pellet even after applying the oil. So far I have put about maybe three dozen pellets through it, between sighting it and shooting at some English sparrows, and the bolt seems slightly easier to pull back but it's still very hard. I am hoping it will continue to loosen somewhat. I wasn't looking for a high powered gun, there are too many houses around, just something, like the previous gun, to help control annoying sparrows and starlings.
On another note, this gun does not come with a scope but I highly recommend you get one. I used the scope off the previous gun, a cheap Chinese-made one but it works pretty well. Overall, this gun seems well made, sturdy but not too heavy.

For the value, it can't be beat. Get this rifle, Tasco Rimfire 3-7x 20mm scope, and two (250 ct) tins of Crossman destroyer pellets and you will be ready to pop plenty of nuisance critters for less than $100

so far I like the weight and feel but not when it comes to loading the BB. with the suggested twisting and shaking it is still very difficult to get those BB in. I tried many times but it was not good at all. Unloading the BB wasn't a issue though. And yes most people having problem with the bolt and pumping the gun and it really is hard. Very quickly one will have sore fingers and arms.

Pretty good for the price. Came in okay packing, not great. Gun loose in the box. Not accurate out of the box. Hard to pump past 6 strokes. Cleaned barrel. This took along time. There way allot of gunk in it. It now is pretty accurate@30ft. Do not recommend this for pest control.

A decent multipump. Cheap and good for learning how to shoot. Right now though, I'm having issues unrelated to the product, but rather accessories. Make sure to get a proper rifle scope, or otherwise one with long eye relief.
