About accuracy? My vote is still out. As for now, I wasn't that impressed. I put a couple of drops of Crosman Pellgunoil on the CO2 and was using Crosman Copperhaed bb's, that might have an effect as well.
The looks, the feel, the capacity and the power, are not bad at all for a $40.00 gun! It's pretty good and fun for what it is, a plinker. As long as you keep in mind what you're getting vs what you're paying, I'm sure you'll agree that it's a great gun for the price. I don't think there is any other gun out there that has what this one has, for even close to the price. So if you want an inexpensive plinker that's good looking, has good power, & fun to shoot... BUY IT! If you do, I recommend buying two extra mags, as it comes with one, but you can easily get three mags from one CO2. HAPPY SHOOTING!!!!
PROS- great styling, reminds me of Sig-saur hornet .22 cal.BEAUTIFUL finish for a plastic gun, looks very metallic.
- grip slides back to expose gas cartridge, no silly external reminders this is a bb gun
- well balanced weighty feel, heavy spring loaded clip
- tactical rail(I plan to buy a laser sight)
- very smart safety/fire switch;smooth, quick one handed operation
- good velocity
Cons- Only one complaint. At twenty feet, shoots low and right by about 2 inches.Groups about 2 inches.(what one expects in non-rifled pistol for $40)Will solve this issue with a laser sight.
All in all this little pistol is a great buy. I promise you will not be dissapointed by the performance of this product.
If I could have bought another magazine locally, I would have kept the gun, but I could not find one. Local Wal-Mart carries this gun, but said they cannot get the extra magazines?
As much trouble as the gun has given, I am even thinking about buying another one -- but buying some extra magazines at the same time.
To me, it is an excellent gun, but with that one major flaw.
Crosman will NOT repair this model of gun, so my only hope is that they will at least exchange it for a new one.
EDIT: Crosman DID replace it and the new one works great! The only cost to me was shipping them the old gun.
This and my Crossman 1077 work just fine. Quiet enough to not scare the walkers and riders but powerful enough to wake the damn deer up when they are munching on the rose garden. This pistol get a shocking amount of fire from a CO2 cartridge. A little oil on the cartridge and it will sit a week or two.
You can hit a target a 200 feet once you get the feel for it. It takes a high aim out that far and it does have a tendency to curve right. The magazine is a little fussy. Not bad though.
For target shooting I don't think so. For pest control just right.
Good deal, especially for this price.
update: I said the magazine was fussy, well now it doesn't work at all. Does not stay in. I believe it is the pistol, so now it is totally worthless.
Down to 1 star.
