This upgrade is totally worth it for the gained accuracy and ability to mount a scope for even more accuracy. The cost is a little steep but the joy of being able to now shoot dime sized groups hand-held is worth it to me. Amazing how this completely changes the gun from backyard plinker to target shooting machine so easily. A second best upgrade to the steel breech is the 1399 stock unless you want to keep it a pistol.

This is the second steel breech I have installed on one of my carbines. The first was a .177 caliber steel breech on my 1377 American Classic. The .22 caliber on my 2289 Backpacker was a little tricky. The rear machined screw that goes through the plug was a little too long. Adding a spacer took care of the problem. The hardest part was figuring out what was causing the problem. It would not fully cock and the bolt has hanging up a bit as well..Hopefully this will help someone who is having the same problem. And no... I wasn't using the wrong machined screw. That was the first thing I checked

I do love it. It makes the gun feel much more high-end, should improve accuracy and velocity, and provides a better option for mounting an optic. I put it on without much trouble, but the instructions included were for a different airgun than my Crosman 1322. Here are some tips: you will lose your rear sight. The new breech has a slot for a better rear sight, but the only decent options available are like $50-$70- so just plan on an optic. Also, you have to take a small screw out of your breech to remove the plastic one. Upon reassembly you don't put it back. There is a hole in the new breech, but it doesn't line up with the old hole at all. The new breech is held in place by the screw that used to hold your rear sight down. Also, there is tiny grub screw that goes in the top of the breech and presses down on the barrel to hold it in place. You'll want to make sure your front sight and also your transfer port are lined up before tightening it down. Overall, it was easy, but hopefully it will be easier for you now that you know this extra info. I recommend an extended bolt probe and bling handle at the same time. You'll get a few more FPS out of the probe and the handle upgrade is just fun.

This steel breech kit is a must have for those who want to add accuracy and a scope to their pellet fun. it not only creates a platform for optics but holds the barrel in place. if you don't understand how important that is then try moving your barrel it will most likely jiggle around

Nice product , wrong instructions for 1322b , had to figure out , but not to hard. Almost forgot to put breech plug (aluminum machined part in the kit). Slide in back of new breech , with hole aligned vertical, then insert replacement rear sight screw, while holding breech down firmly and aligned, then tighten down screw.

At first I was displeased, about loading of pellet. Unlike original which was very smooth. This unit was awkward. The pellet needed added guidance with your other hand. Then I discovered it loaded smoother, if I held pistol pointed straight up. This still was not satisfactory, time
should I remove this downgrade ?

But I still like this breech. What was causing this problem? After close inspection. Jeweler loupe in had. Right were the tiny plastic screw goes. The stepped hole edge was burred. I carefully broke the edge and smoothed it out. Tested. Now the pellet loads perfectly like the original beech.

One needs to invest in a new rear sight, 3/8 dovetail type. For now I am using a reflex sight, which is pretty good. Anything Is better then original sight 😉

Pyramid air shipped within 2days, FedEx delivered in 3 days. It was slipped in a bubbled pack enveloped.

If on tight budget get a daisy red dot sight. You always get much better sights , but this will get you going on the cheap.

I am power-modding a 2240 and bought this to accomodate a longer barrel and higher pressures. Nice thing is that is is dovetailed to accomodate a scope mounted back over the breech. Better adjustment on eye relief. Over build quality is A1- easy installation

i wish this was standard with the 1322 but it is not. seller provided helpful hint that the bolt is of set so if you put it in and when you tighten the bolt it will not slide , undo the bolt turn half turn and re thread the bolt from the other side. i think it is offset for both left and right hand applications.

This mod makes the gun a lot more like my rimfire .22's. There are several you tube videos out there that show how to assemble the parts - I just followed one of these videos and got the install done no problem. It was also a good time to add several other mods to the gun while it was apart. Highly recommend.
