The display on this is large and easily read from across the room. You can choose for the large display to be the temp or the humidity. I got this for our new baby's room to make sure the temp and humidity level stay at comfortable levels. I've got it up and running and it works great. The only downside is that it takes a small CR2032 battery- I wish I would have realized that before I bought it. It may end up in a drawer when the battery runs out as I don't typically have CR2032 batteries on hand.

Its accurate enough. Measured against an accurate arduino humidity & temperature sensor. and an accurate digital meat thermometer which I've verified is accurate from a Fluke infrared themometer

Mounted right next to my HVAC thermostat and it barely budges away from my house setpoint. (I don't think thermostats display actual temperature or you'd see them changing a degree or two before it kicks on.

I put of these near my childs bedside so I know what the temp / humidiy is at the level where he/she sleeps.

Big letters, right temperature, at least decent battery life. My only problem is that my wife keeps moving it around and then I have to track it down again. It clearly shows that the thermostat in the living room does NOT accurately tell me whether my computer desk, bathroom, and bedroom are a decent temperature - the living room is by far the warmest place in the house.

[edit, 6/15/12 - still working fine. What's the deal with a negative feedback? Don't tell me companies are dinging favorable reviews of competing products - there's nothing objectionable is my simple expressed opinion from actually buying and using this product.]

I bought this based on all the excellent reviews....BUT either I got a defective unit or I was the only one who really put this to test.

I took the thermometer from 70F (inside the house) to about 10F (inside the car parked overnight in subzero). It read 70F at 9:45 am, it gradually dropped down, every 30 secs, each time a few degrees, to 19F at 10:10 am, in 25 minutes. I did not wait to see how much longer it will take to get down to 10F. The wait was too long.

I reversed the process by taking this thermometer back to the house. It read 19F at 10:10, and likewise, increased ever soooo slowly to 69F at 10:58 am, in 48 minutes.

If you plan on taking this from room to room to check the temperature of each room to see how well the temperature distribution is throughout the house, plan on leaving the unit in each room for at least an hour.

The humidity sensor reacted much quicker, within a minute. So this part is excellent.

I wanted a simple indoor thermometer and this one fit the bill. It has easy directions, is easy to set and easy to read. Over all, very satisfied.

Pros-Easy to read, easy to set, easy to understand directions

Cons-No backlight. If you want to see the temperature (if you wake up in a cold room for instance) you have to turn on a light. Why would you make one of these without a backlight?

Still, overall I am satisfied.

Apparently it's 75 degrees in my daughters room. It's also 76 degrees in the living room, the office is 78 degrees and outside in the back yard it's 76 degrees. The only problem is...it isn't! Outside it's 64 degrees. I even tried taking the battery out, leaving it 30 seconds and putting the battery back in to reset it, 76 degrees outside. How hard is it to get something like this right? Buy something else, I am going to get an old style alcohol based thermometer, this is not good.

works just fine - so nice for sanity when I feel like it's a million degrees in the house but it's only 71, or the opposite. My house heats and cools unevenly so it's peace of mind to know if what I'm feeling is accurate or inaccurate. Also helpful to know the temp with babies in the house.
