If you love paranormal romance novels, Mandy M Roth is the author to read. Mandy draws you in and definitely keeps you there because you want more and more. Mandy M Roth knows how to create a world of paranormal creatures mixed with romance and action. Mandy makes you fall in love with her characters and she also makes you hate the bad guy but want more of both.
I love her work and I love all her different story lines and all of her different characters and all of her different series.
Mandy Roth just keeps amazing me with each new release and Crossing Hudson is no exception. The second book in the Guardian Series is a standalone full length story, so if you didn’t read the first one, no worries, you will still enjoy this book but why deprive yourself of missing out on a great introduction to a new series The Guardians
This time our story involves Maryann “Ryan” MacKenzie and an alphalicious werewolf guardian called Hudson Carver. The first couple of chapters sets the stage for their destiny and proves that even the best laid plans, even those by The Powers That Be, can get shot to hell when the heart wants what the heart wants!
Now, we fast forward a few years and Maryann “Ryan” isn’t the same person that we met at the beginning of the book, but neither is Hudson. They have both been shaped by time and decisions made long ago that cannot be remembered or so it seems. When Hudson Carver receives his latest mission to “babysit” as he calls it a slayer named Ryan, he naturally assumes it’s a guy. Imagine his surprise when he realizes that Ryan is a “she” and he feels like he knows her, but just can’t seem to remember for now. In the meantime, Ryan is busy with her duties training new slayers and dealing with other issues such as her mate is with another woman so she thinks, The Powers That Be interfering in her life, and now evil is after her in a big way.
There are so many twists, turns, and surprises, that I can’t really do this book any justice or favors in a review. YES, IT IS THAT GOOD!! This is a story that must be read to truly appreciate the scope of what Mandy has written in this tale of love & adventure. Hudson and Ryan’s journey to reach their HEA is a rollercoaster ride full of action and emotion that just can’t be missed! This story was soooo worth the time spent waiting for it to be released and now I am fervently looking forward to more guardians in the future no matter how long it may take. '
