It's an interesting junior "Miss Manners" type of manual showing young girls (all white, with impossibly long, elegant legs) how to behave as young ladies: how to get in and out of cars gracefully, how to walk properly, how to maintain good posture while speaking on the phone, how to not wear bangles to church as they make too much noise during the service (I kid you not), etc.
Don't get me wrong - to this day I'm considered quite lady-like because of what I learned from this book, but so what? It was so disappointing not to see the illustrations from the book staring back at me when I looked in the mirror, and the girls of today are already over exposed to negative messages on self-image.
If you're just reading it for fun then by all means - it's absolutely fun and fascinating and clearly not intended to be damaging. Thankfully, however, we've made huge strides in child development and have far more responsible texts to utilize.
