The online information gave good dimensional information, and cautioned against ordering if you were unsure. I did the measurements, determined that the case WOULD NOT fit my trombone (as is), and ordered it anyway. Luckily, as I had hoped, the problems could be easily fixed by me, and the horn now fits just fine.
One thing that is a big difference with the original case is that the new one fits the horn (after I modified it), and a few mouthpieces, and not much else. In the old case, I could easily fit a collapsible music stand, an instrument stand, and lots of mouthpieces, a water bottle, and other stuff. I am going to have to figure out another way to cart all the paraphernalia along, but I am happy with the construction and fit of the Crossrock case as a replacement for a 55 year old case that was falling apart.
Did work for my small student model. for which I already have a hard case.
Will probably be either reselling or will see if I can replace the inserts, as I bought right before traveling so didn't have time to try and return.
